Finally, BEYOOOOONDS has a chance to get back on track since Corona knocked them off their sweep. I’ve liked all their songs, but I was getting real tired of listening to the same songs over and over.

Though I’m a bit bummed one half of this is a cover/remix. But if it becomes something more epic like how Mugen Climax was cemented in H!P history, I’m cool with it.

My first reaction is that they're getting a little too clever by half with this. It feels a little bit "try hard."

I’m just glad they aren’t wasting Honoka’s talent and using her piano skills in just about every single release. I’m interested in seeing what they pull off her a MV with this. The honestly find the outfits cute.

I can absolutely appreciate that they straight-up used a Chopin song for this, but I'm not so certain that I like how they arranged it. Mugen Climax was great because the original sample of Beethoven's piece didn't feel lost in the arrangement, but Chopin Senpai makes me forget that it was taken from a classical piece at points because of how it was arranged.

I just hope they're not pushing the "theatrical group" thing to excess. Biyo is H!P's most talented group and they don't need to rely on gimmicks (not that I'm opposed to gimmicks in moderation.) The ham cutlet song needs to be a jam, though.

Yes, but they've so far managed a nice balance of "theatrical" and "idol group" IMO, and I'm hoping they don't lean too hard into the former at the expense of the latter. So long as the music hits, it's all good.

Having heard the entire song, I like it a bit more, although I don't know if it'll ever completely lose the "gimmick" feel for me. The chorus is undeniably catchy, though, and the Queen-inspired rock part (Yuhane even sports a Brian May custom style guitar in the video) works perfectly for a song like this.

The video itself is every bit as fun as you want a Beyooooonds video to be.

Hamukatsu isn't doing much for me right off the bat -- neither hate it or love it -- but Chopin Senpai has completely won me over. Yeah, it's gimmicky, but the arrangement is so damn good that it doesn't matter.

I have to agree, Chopin Senpai has really grown on me as well. Especially he second half of the song after the guitar enters in… I like how all the comments are basically talking about how people are watching it every morning to give them energy for their day, just like a true idol group should be about
