Will we really get a new group when Covid brought 2020 to a screeching halt and the last new group has released a whopping one single? I think it’s far more likely they’re getting ready to pad JJ (and maybe Tsubaki, it’s been 5 years and they’re all 18+). Karin is leaving, Tomoko is 25 and they’ve gotta be dropping hints to her, and Sayuki turns 24 in less than six months.

While you were sleeping. I kept track of some eggs. Some came and hatched while we were away, but I didn't lose track of a single one!

So, first post is updated, and because I didn't want to go through that massive list of hatched eggs and clean up my mess. You all get a special peek at my mad Eggkss list that I made after the BBS went down because I'm crazy. It will probably be updated before I come back around here to clean up the first post.

As you can see, mad dash of auditions is partly due to the fact that they cleaned out the kenshuusei in the last year and throwing a big name into an audition tends to pull more fruit than a crusty kenshuusei audition. The last time the trainees were this bare was in 2011 after the great Egg dump. So I suspect the incubators are going to get stuffed soon with fresh new blood.

Crazy Yulia is now the senior egg.

It's funny how Yulia is still one of the youngest members though
I've got my eyes on Hinoha. She could be Kaede's sister.

There's not a lot members in the KSS right now, but I think we will get new ones from the upcoming audition. I just wonder if it's "only" 2 again, or if we get a few more. Subjectively it seems like previous auditions brought in around 5 or more KSS.

Seems like Up Front doesn't want many KSS at the moment. I guess at this point KSS honestly hope for a debut, but the more girls they add the less likely it becomes.

The KSS lately have been leftovers from auditions. I expect the next audition might get more because it’s a Morning Musume and a Juice audition. The last few weren’t as high profile even if it was for Established H!P groups.

Considering none of the girls picked two of the songs I’m leaning towards, the girls had a choice of the 10 songs. They are going to be judged on singing and dancing for the company picked song.

In general, since the winners have good chances of going to existing or new groups...
I take it for granted that Onoda Karin is supposed to debut someday, maybe even in Juice=Juice or Morning Musume. She's 14 now, so not too young anymore to look out of place. Matsubara Yuriya however... I've never been much of a fan of her, but she seems to be improving lately. Compared to Onoda she'd stick out a lot more though, so I'm not sure if they'd debut her in MM.

Thanks for those. Yulia has improved quite a bit, to the point where I think they can debut her in MM, which is what I predict will happen. I don't think she's a fit for Juice=Juice, although that might just be me holding onto what J=J was, and they're obviously not that anymore.

Onoda did about as well as a trainee could do with Mugan Climax, but that's a tough song to pull off. I remember the members of C-ute saying how they all struggled during the recording of it. I wouldn't be surprised to see her end up in J=J.

Here's a link to Yulia's and Karin's assigned performances on Bilibili. Yulia's "Bitansan" is actually pretty good -- better than her "Teenage Solution" IMO -- so maybe she is a fit for the new-school J=J. Karin seems like one of those girls who would fit in with whichever group she's added to.

Why is no one talking about Mifu Kawashima? I think she sounds better than both Yulia and Karin.
