I've been 'beta testing' Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and quite enjoying it. The actual release is in August and I probably recommend it.

If I remember correctly, the PS3 was mostly ignored and ridiculed at this point in its life as well. I completely recommend getting a Vita even if it has been slow to catch on.
