Park Bom's (of 2NE1) new solo single "You and I" is great.

Re: The New Official J-Drama Thread!

I hope a torrent or stream for Shokojo Seira gets released soon. It's def. on my watch list. Ep 2 of My Girl wasn't bad. They're definitely fleshing out some things that get skipped over quickly in the manga. BTW, the actual intro focuses a lot on Yoko which leads me to believe we'll see a lot more ...

I'm liking "My Girl" with Aiba (of Arashi) so far. The little girl in it is quite adorable. The drama seems to have a lot more flashbacks than the manga.

not bad. btw, can you believe she's almost 30? (she's 27). I still remember when she was the tomboyish 16 year old from "Love the Island."

Kind of Blair Witch meets Poltergeist and the Exorcist. However, of the faux documentaries, like the afforementioned Blair Witch and Cloverfield (both of which I really didn't like), this is by far, much better. Only one of the characters does typical "stupid shit people do in horror movies.&qu...

Ireppoi Jiretai meets Koi no Dance Site. In concert, they could go with the faux Arabesque costumes and go from Koi no Dance Site, to HSW, to this without missing a beat. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nceman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

It was a pretty good PV, especially for an "indies" group. They'll probably do a major debut next year.

Re: The New Official J-Drama Thread!

Just started the Korean vers. of HYD. It's not too bad. I dunno why some people get all bent out of shape about HYD remakes. None of them have ever really been 100% faithful to the manga itself. They're all basically interpretations of the original. I think as long as you have the plucky poor heroin...

I like the LE cover. Props to HP for even including the banned/disgraced members on it. I was kind of pissed when they conveniently left out some members in the pics and DVD for the 10th Anniversary set.

Re: The New Official J-Drama Thread!

I just finished Buzzer Beat. It kind of lagged in the 2nd half. They seemed to be searching for more stuff to separate Naoki and Riko, but you still knew how it was gonna end. And the last ep seemed really rushed in terms of pacing. Still, I loved the Yama P and Keiko couple. They must do another sh...

It has Dance Man written all over it. I don't even have to see the credits. That's good or bad depending on what you like. I think it's OK. I wanna see a PV, though.

Yeah, there might be something unplanned about her graduation. Not necessarily a "scandal" per se, but the fact that her graduation isn't at a big venue is kind of strange.

Never could get the singing thing down, but her importance business-wise, was great. She picked up the slack in the kids segment when mini moni left the scene. In a way, she set up HPE for their success, just like mini moni paved the way for HPK. She was never my favorite, but she always did her bes...

Kind of a tangent, but do you ever wonder how much money Yoko Kamio the manga artist and writer has made off of her 1992 work "Hana Yori Dango" from its various incarnations in China (Taiwan), Japan, and Korea. It's pretty much blown up bigtime whenever and where ever it was released. I wo...

Speaking of girl groups, I find it absolutely fascinating that Dara of 2NE1 was raised in the Philippines and speaks Tagalog fluently, just because it's a language (although it has 70M+ speakers) that's rarely learned or spoken by "outsiders" mostly because English is taught as a second la...

I think she can look pretty, and in the dance intro thing they at least dress her in female clothes, but during the song, they always put her in straight up dude clothes. I'm pretty sure they'll pretty her up down the line and make her look female.
