Tour starts this Saturday. Can you believe that in 31 days, she'll no longer be a member? It feels like her graduation was only just announced.









Tsunku said on his blog that since there's so few dates, they're trying to make the concert performances really good.











He also posted a picture of them practicing. It looks like I'm Lucky Girl or Resonant Blue to me.

Nobody else can pronounce FAKE in such a dramatic way, it'll probably fade after she leaves.

I think it's more noticeable in certain live performances than the recorded version.



The CD version is basically "UUUUWAAWOU" but when she sings it live, she pronounces it a bit more.

Because this is a graduation concert tour for Takahashi and not a normal Morning Musume concert. It'll be an Ai fest.

I doubt any other Morning Musume member (not even Risa who will surpass Takahashi for time in the group) will get a better treatment for graduation then Takahashi is getting.

Not that I want to argue with you Your Moderatorship (all hail) but Eri/JunLin: 30 dates - Kusumi: 42 dates - Yossie: 26 dates and the time of the year is the same as as those of Eri/JunLin and Kusumi so unless these are substantially bigger venues I can't see how this qualifies as anything special for Ai, unless of course you know something I don't (which is more than likely).

The last two dates are at Nippon Budokan which seats about 14,000 if Wikipedia isn't lying to me. They usually film the concert at Nakano Sun Plaza which seats about 2,000 I think. Assuming Budokan sells out fully, it'll bring in 28k people.



I don't know how large the other venues they visit are, though.

I think they're just doing so many things at once and this is just an unfortunate consequence.

So 14,000 in these days is actually kind of amazing. The first Budokan concert was Sayaka's graduation, back in 2000, when things were more than good. I don't know if anyone else has graduated there.



Past leaders:

Yuko - seats 16,000 (Osakajou Hall)

Kaori - seats 17,000 (Yokohama again, but during an H!P concert tour)

Yossi - seats 9,000-37,000 (No idea which parts were used in Saitama Super Arena)

Nippon Budokan is a big name stadium, it's one of the more well known ones in Japan. A lot of Americans artists are known to go there for concerts. So I think for Takahashi to be graduating from Budokan, it's kind of a big deal.



And you never know, they might do what they did after Maki's graduation and continue to have a fall tour minus Ai with the 10th gen. They will still have October, November and December. But that's just speculation on my part and I doubt they would throw the new girls into working so quickly.



But UFA has been doing some funky things lately, first Saki not getting a proper graduation and now Takahashi and her mini-goodbye tour.

Less dates, bigger venues. Seems like a good way to have less physical strain on the girls while still making plenty of money. Especially with Sayashi being young and still growing and the new star of the group, they want to take care she doesn't relapse.

Well the whole concert was decided well before their injuries. I don't know how UFA works, but I think they wanted certain concert venues and this was the only time they could get them? Also the fact that they are having one concert in Takahashi's home town tells me that this concert was made especially for Takahashi. This isn't a normal Morning Musume tour, this is a farewell to Takahashi tour featuring some group called Morning Musume as backup dancers/singers.

Isn't Budokan the most famous of the concert halls? It isn't just in K-On - I've often heard new acts saying that their goal is either Budokan or Kohuaku. So it seems symbolic to bring Takahashi there.

but if you are more than half way back they hand out telescopes so you can see the big screens and by the time you hear the music the concert is actually finished.

Mizuki and Sayumi sounds like a really weird combination vocally, but I guess I'll have to wait to have a full judgement. Not looking forward to the Reina/Riho duet since I can't stand either of their singing voices, Risa's 'rapping' will make it interesting.



Disappointed about Only You. I knew it would be there, I was just hoping it wouldn't be since it sucks so hard. I'll just cross my fingers they'll ditch it once Ai leaves since she's half of the entire song.



A lot of new songs makes it hard to gauge a lot of the setlist, since the album won't be out until October. I'm a bit disappointed with the rest of it, though. There are some good choices, but then there are some really 'meh' choices. Poor Resonant Blue has been beaten to death and Bravo is one of the weakest Fantasy 11 songs in my opinion. If they were going to bring any of them back, it should have been I'm Lucky Girl.



Oh, apparently the night version has an AikaxRisa MC. Aika is on the screen talking to Risa about Ai.

Wow, Kanon looks really good in her fan! I didn't even recognize her. (Thought she was Mano for a second. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hatthe.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whatthe:' /> ) I'm terribly confused about the color distinction between Sayumi, Mizuki, and Riho though. I get that Riho is Koharu's red, Sayu is pink, but then... what the heck is Mizuki? And I will never get UFA's obsession with girls all being a varying shade of the same damn color. JunLinReina, now SayuMizuRiho, KanonRisa, and AikaEri. The pairs I can forgive, but three girls at a time? Yeesh.

I'll post single songs for those who don't want to download the entire concert. They're all pretty good rips.



Posting the new songs first. I guess I could technically make an album thread, but I only have samples and no tracklist. There are five singles on it though, plus these five six songs, so I guess most of the tracklist is sort of out already.



MY WAY ~Joshikou no Hanamichi~. Guitars! And a lot of Risa. Sounds like everyone (sans Aika of course) gets a line so that's nice. I think it sounds a lot like a Berryz song, to be honest. I look forward to an HQ CD version.



Suki Da Na, Kimi Ga. The Sayu/Mizuki song. I like this! They're doing cute, higher voices but it's not earsplitting the way Rainbow Pink tends to be. Their voices go really well together. I was expecting them to clash somewhat. It's so catchy.



Kono Ai wo Kasanete. Ai/Risa duet. It's a more mellow song. It's funky, but probably not something I would listen to over and over again, because slower songs aren't really my favorite songs for the most part.



Give Me Love. A song from the 09 Emo-Musume era. A lot of Ai and Reina with Risa backup. But that's probably better, since 9th gen voices aren't really suited to songs like this. I think one of them has a couple lines, though, because there's someone who sounds completely out of place among the older girls.



OK YEAH!. Very fast song and there's a lot going on in the instrumental in parts of it. Sounds like there's some more Riho belting at the very beginning, even though she is in no way suited for it and lines like that will probably ruin her voice, but whatever. If that line isn't her, however, I have zero idea as to who else it could be. I like this song although I think the ending is kind of abrupt (although that's obviously what they're going for). I hear a lot more Risa again, I have a feeling 12th album will be heavy on the Gaki.



Silver no Udedokei. It's a more serious song, ala Emo-Musume once again. There's little to say about Reina and Riho's parts, because they're boring, but Risa's rapping is cool and I look forward to seeing it in video form. Oh, and there's a dude in the background of the instrumental, but I think for once, it's not Tsunku.





And now for the other songs.



Yume Kara Samete. Ai solo. Um, I wish I had more to say. But it's Ai. And she always sounds nice, of course. I'm sure she'll be tearing up when she does it on the final day. This is like in the middle of the concert, though, and I wish they'd put it more near the end. It would be more fitting.



SONGS. Another middle song, that I think should be more toward the beginning. They don't actually perform it entirely.



Suki na Senpai. Ai and Risa doing the famous 5th gen song. It makes me kind of sad for the first time that Ai is leaving.



Jounetsu no Kiss wo Hitotsu/Egao Yes Nude/Motto Aishite hoshii no/Guru guru JUMP Medley. The most mismatched medley they've ever done. Although they managed to somehow make the songs flow into each other perfectly. Egao without Aika is pure blasphemy. But Ai handled her lines perfectly, though, so I'll forgive her. Sayumi's sound effects in Motto are hilarious. GuruGuru Jump is when it sounds like 9th gen finally come in. Maybe. I think I heard Riho and Eripon.



Jishin Motte Yume wo Motte Tobitatsu Kara. Another Ai-solo. Blah, she doesn't ever suck or do anything weird so it's hard to comment on her songs.



Take off is now! (Ai/Risa/Reina) -> Do it! Now -> 　 Aisaresugiru Koto wa Nai no yo -> 3, 2, 1 BREAKIN' OUT!. The night medley and unfortunately this rip isn't as good a quality as the others. I love Do It! Now and I'm glad it's made a return.



Bravo! Starts out with some slow group singing before transitioning into Bravo, which I still think is a weak song.



Aaaaand, that's effectively most of the concert. I didn't post Mr. Moonlight or Resonant Blue because they were so LQ I didn't think it was worth anyone's time.
