Basic run down of H!P related antics:



Momoko proves her Idol worth (for good or bad) by constantly throwing herself into the spotlight.

Maasa's weight gets mentioned. (I think?)

Take-chan, even though she's a sub-member is probably the most vocal of the whole S/mileage group, and it doesn't hurt she's got Maimi's sport gene for winning either.

Dawa disses Ebisu and Meimi acts creepy AND shy. But then Meimi's the youngest one there.

Well, it's Mechaike, so of course the Mechaike crew is going to host it.

Besides, they're always rough with people (remember the Bakajo/Okajo specials ?). Male and female.



The "Super Girls" girls are ugly...



And Momoko indeed once again proves that she's a psycho.



That SDN48 girl at 10:35 (part 3) has an insanely annoying voice.



The fake crying around 2:30 (part 4) was extremely awkward and bizarre.

All the girls are still so cute, even without makeup. But of course, S/mileage was the cutest as they are the most natural to begin with. Though Wada's comment was a cheap shot, not at all clever, and only made me dislike her more. Well, obviously your members are young....so....duh?



Didn't like the fact that 2 male hosts are making fun of how the girls all look (ie too fat, too old, etc) and laughing hysterically when they cried. It was weird to see all the girls pitted against each other - especially the cat fights between the two "sexy" groups, Muscats and SDN (and wow, "idol" is a pretty inclusive termm). I don't know - don't like that kind of stuff. It makes it seem too obvious that they are actually making fun of everyone. It is also kind of crass.



However, Captain was so charming in that she didn't bad mouth anyone and just had confidence in her own group. what a classy girl - that's the cutest <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wub:' />



You know what else was cute? Seeing MeiMei fling herself over the high jump hahahahaha.



Momoko reminds of Rika in her final years in the group. She's really over the top and doesn't make people laugh, but her utter desperation is hilarious. That final battle was like, battle of the shrill voices.



Oh yeah, I guess I like the final sentiment of the AKB sister group -- that they were all "older" girls who didn't want to give up on their dreams of becoming idols. See....that's exactly why women like them.

Well, some things are just obviously scripted in Japanese variety shows.

How the idols look at info carts behind the camera or how they clearly recite learned phrases etc. give that away.

If not everything is "scripted", nearly all of it is at least planned, that I'm sure of. Even if it's just telling the guests what will happen (to them) and asking the idols beforhand to come up with something funny. Imho it's even more obvious in Korean shows.

You wouldn't want them to just stand there and say nothing interesting/funny.



I don't have any 100% legit proof though. This is just something I grasped after watching years of Japanese variety shows.

I don't know to what extent, but I do know these shows have scripts and planning sessions, of course. I'm pretty sure this one even had some members talking about rehearsal going well for Mechaike. For example, things like the Momoko-getting-kicked would have be to practiced because there's no way a professional would do stunts like that without proper blocking and rehearsing.



I would bet that there's some on-the-fly stuff as well, but it probably depends on the guest and what sort of segment it is.

I think you're right -- but, the scripting is controlled so there are still surprises between the members. Ie. Wada was either told to refer to Muscats but insert her own mean joke OR she was given the mean joke -- and either way, the Muscat girls would not have known before hand what the line was etc.



I still think Wada sucks though. She just comes off as a brat.

You must not pay much attention to Yuka. It's the quiet ones that will get you. She's just as evil as the others and loves to hit people. Also, her two favorite comics are about brutal murders and pirates beating the crap out of each other. Don't let her fool you. She easily holds her own against the rest of them.



And Dawa isn't mean. Her brain just doesn't work like most peoples.
