Their PVs should get better once they define their image, both as a group and as individuals, and the former submembers get some practice acting and just generally being in front of a camera.
A better, longer preview of the PV, which (unlike the earlier preview) makes it look like the entire budget didn't entirely consist of a 2 minute trip to the dollar store!
I think the outfits are what make this PV, they're very well made, definately an outfit, make sense in the video, and not psycho fabrics. The dance background kind of reminds me of Massara Blue Jeans in the sense that it's a blue wall with a bit of a creative twist on the literal meaning of the title (MBJ had Jeans hanging off of a clothes line, PMSPW has letters hanging off of balloons). Tamura Meimi is adorable and talented, but hopefully the other former sub-members will also get a chance to be a lead in future singles, lest she becomes S/Mileage's Sayashi Riho (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just unfortunate for other members)
2nd Dance Lesson video is up, mostly to show Kana's improvement and less bag failure. Meimi truly is taking Yuuka's spot as she wears the same shirt Yuuka had in the first dance lesson. Next thing you know she'll cut her hair short, get some bangs and be drawing a mole on her throat. Oh wait, she's already done one of those things.

This single was released on May 9, 2002 and the H!P Kids made their official debut on June 30th 2002 during Hello!Morning. Because the dates are so close together, a lot of people assume it's a few of the H!P Kids in the background, but they aren't.)

Arg, I wish they would stop doing covers as their b-sides. They deserve more original songs! Really I'm just bitter because I ordered the regular edition and Limited B & C have the best covers and an original b-side. If they had to do another cover, Te wo Nigitte is a good choice, but still.

I know that you said you were mad mostly because you ordered regular, but other than Onaji Jikyuu de Hataraku Tomodachi no Bijin Mama, their official singles have all had an original c/w tracks.
Also, even if Ganbaranakutemo's 2nd track is kind of just a variation of the single, that still makes them have as many b-side tracks as singles, since it also included Smile Bijin.
So really, they're getting to record more music than any other H!P group, plus the same amount of regular b-sides.

It is nice that they get lots of songs, but if they're not new songs what's the point? I'm sure it's all part of the incentive to get more people to buy the various editions, but personally I'm tired of H!P covering itself in general (H!P Covers on iTunes, S/mileage b-sides, Dream Morning Musume, etc.). It's kind of fun every once in a while, like some of the shuffles they've done in concerts, but after a while I get bored of all the nostalgia. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... eeping.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Well, it's a great way to give the hoard of new girls the chance to sing more songs in the studio without Tsunku having to write more music. Also, we can actually hear the new girls on the c/w tracks. Plus they have extra songs to perform in concert that they learned together. I won't be surprised if MM does something similar next year.
