I got my Mo, Be, Ki and Su blu-rays today. I felt kind of bad for not getting Mano's (also my OCD side is bugging me to get it just to complete the set), but I REALLY would just rather watch the girl act or run around in bikinis instead of sit though her meager PV collection...

How did the upscales turn out? And how beautiful are the HD PVs? (I went overboard on Christmas so I must wait to buy)

I've only popped it in on my 720p TV since the 1080 is busy being my monitor at the moment, and the furthest I've gone back is Namida Tomaranai Hokago (the first PV on the second disk of the MM set), but the older PVs are looking good. Of course they're 4:3, but that's expected. The modern PVs look amazing.



Edit: I could have sworn when they were announced they were supposed to have some extras on them, like a few making of videos, but it looks like they're all just straight up PV collections. Still, having all the MM PVs on disks that I don't need to hook up a Japanese player for is pretty nice.

Interesting tidbits:



Risa's favorite Disney movies are Enchanted, Alice in Wonderland, and Monsters Inc. She also went into detail about everything she loves about Disneyland and I get the impression that not having been in two months is a very, very, long time for her.



Riho is still jaded about not being included on Zukki and Mizuki's date. Riho's never been to Disneyland (Me neither <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />) but Mizuki's been a few times. Apparently a lot of the members love it and she can't follow the discussion in the dressing room. Awww.



Mizuki and Riho talked about the three most important events of 2011 for them. Mizuki's number three is the creation of PonPon and Riho's is getting her radio show. Mizuki's two is the Yomiuri event and Riho's is her falling grades (she hates English). They both choose the 9th gen bus tour as number one.



Wada and Kanon visted Risa's show again. Risa talks about how Morning Musume do a gift exchange and Yaguchi decided to embarrass someone with some lingerie one year. Kanon fangirls over Yurina and discusses how she'd never join their group because that would give her less time to watch Yurina on stage. Wada and Haruna both like art and according to Kanon, everything on Wada's profile is a lie.



9th gen went on some radio show together. They talk about music business stuff they don't get. Riho doesn't know what S.E. means (does anyone here know?) and then she makes an Eripon pun. Mizuki didn't know what “gabacho” meant but she looked it up because she's responsible and stuff. Eripon doesn't understand what the other girls mean when they say don't butt in to their conversation. Zukki gets confused if song titles aren't said out completely for her (like, she doesn't know that LoveMa means Love Machine).

Before joining Morning Musume, a 12 year old Ai Takahashi appeared on a singing contest TV show in Fukui, which she won. She was presented her award by a celebrity guest, a young singer who later went on to become an actress. Thirteen years later, Ai is playing Sara in the double cast version of Dance of the Vampire. The other Sara is being played by Rina Chinen, the same woman who presented Ai with the award on the talent show, half her life ago.
