Indeed no Partenza.

Sold out, 800 people.

Signing at Kawaii cafe on Saturday was only the first 100.

I meet up with 3 other Dutchies and they have numbers 102 ... and they were not let in. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hatthe.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whatthe:' />

But they were very close to the girls when they leaved the cafe, so they made some good videos and pics.

Signing after concert was pre arranged on the web for 200 people, but was full in a couple of seconds <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... R#>/f5.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':f5:' />

And for the encore,

After the last song they sad goodbye get of stage and came back immidiatly for the

''hands together'' final bow. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/clap.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

So i was expecting no encore.

The signing was from 8 to 9 and Airi is not allowed to work after 9 so it was tight scedule.

They left the Moulin around 9.30 <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... dwagon.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':bandwagon:' />

It was the first 100 people. I still have the email. Where/when was the signing session at the cafe announced?

Not so bad for UFA and Soudlicious.

You had to buy the poster 8 euro or CD 25 euro.

So lets say 100 x 25 =2500 euro's extra cash.

Sell goods on the way out and you have 800 x ??? = 800 happy fans and 800 potential future purchases.

Catering to the minority is usually a recipe for disaster.

The draw of having a chance to actually meet the members at the signing is much bigger than the performance itself. You can watch them perform any time, but the chance to meet them may be once in a lifetime.

Isn't that the same as saying going to a signing is the same as watching H!P time?

Going to a concert and watching a DVD are two different things.

How many more times are they going to perform in Europe, will they ever perform in America?

Cutting a live show down just to do some crappy signing was a mistake imo.

The difference is at the signing you can actually interact and talk to them. Even a few minutes of that is worth far more than a less than optimal live performance. And while it might not be as good for the people that only got to go to the concert, imagine how much better it was for the ones that got to do both.

As a jaded HP fan with several dozen HP events behind me, the concert-going experience soon lost its appeal, especially in the wake of the wota takeover, but those up close and personal events still hold strong in my memories.

So you would advise them to continue to screw the majority to please the minority then?

I'm not saying don't do a signing, you seem to be misunderstanding my point.

The point here is that they didn't do a longer set list / encore BECAUSE they did a signing, in these circumstances fuck the signing and try and get as many fans as possible so that they'll be invited back for more concerts and maybe in other countries too.

They sold the place out in less than two days. There's no mistaking that they'd have the possibility of coming back. And even with a concert that's half their usual length, the people there were most likely perfectly satisfied, with only us bitching about it. Yeah, they should have made the signings open to everyone, but the shorter than usual concert is nothing new.

On Buono's end, they had to make do on an unfamiliar stage without their band and most likely the majority of their usual concert staff, so a limited set list is understandable. The other foreign HP concerts have all been just as limited in scope, much shorter than their Japanese concerts, so I wasn't expecting more from them. I doubt Berryz will perform any more than an hour when they come to Jersey as well.

And if you were a Buono fan and given the choice of watching a less than optimal Buono concert or meeting the girls, how could you not choose to meet them instead?

Because them I would be the lucky minority, which is easy to be.

I thought the booing was pretty bad, again it wasn't aimed at the girls themselves, but surely even a shorter than usual set list should have a finished feel to it, from what I've read the fans mostly left feeling satisfied but that something was missing.

Maybe it's just a difference of opinions, but I don't see what they got from the signing if anything. the 100 who got in were already fans.

I guess there's a case of treating the fans well and they will stay, but an effort to get more fans may have been the better move.

I think it was upfront decision for to shorten the concert.

The camera crews were still standing behind their camera's waiting for the encore.

But a Staff member was already collecting stuff from the stage.

I heard from people, while we were screaming for encore a soundlicious chief making phonecals.

I asume that they also would have an encore.

Also president of Upfront Yukako Yamazaki was there so maybe they were a bit nervous.

And i guess there are good contacts because soundlicious said on there site that there will be a big event during japanexpo Paris at the je-live house.

The Japanexpo is from 5 to 8 July.
