I'm hearing people are pretty unhappy with ME3's ending.

People want everything spelled out for them with what happened, rather than the more ambiguous, use your imagination and fill in the blanks endings the game gives you.

Not really.

The main problem is they're carbon-copy endings of the three in Deus Ex and they're all very lazily done and look nearly identical. Also, the lack of an explanation about what happens to all your crew members and all the other people you met.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas did incorporate a huge amount of your choices over the game in the ending, something people rightfully were expecting from ME3.

The Federal Trade Commission (simply put) exists to protect consumers from anti-competitive and anti-consumer corporate policies and acts. From the guy-who-filed-a-complaint's thread:

DISCLAIMER: Before you start debating how dumb I am, let me be clear. THIS IS NOT A LAWSUIT. THIS IS NOT SERIOUS LEGAL ACTION. This is a complaint about EA/Bioware's advertising, filed with the the organizations that handle false advertising in the U.S. As EA is the publisher, they were the appropriate people to complain about. If you don't think that exercising one of the few, civil, legal ways available to hold a company accountable is stupid or immature, that's fine. If somehow (space magic?) they actually decided to do something other than send EA an email about it, there would be a miniscule fine, that's it. There is no way that this could "tear bioware apart" or anything of the sort. If you still think I need to be called stupid or immature, then post away.

I've argued it far too much elsewhere, but I feel the entire game itself is the ending and the culmination of the choices you've made. They're all reflected leading up to the final battle. Yeah, the pick door 1, 2, or 3 ending was a little lame, but the particular option I picked worked perfectly for my particular Shepard.

Speaking of whining about endings, I haven't been hit with an ending so hard since Phantasy Star 2. Toriyama, I will remember your name and I will stay away from every game you will make because the combination of things leading to the ending was a giant ball of piss-me-off. P.S. the emotional impact is only felt if the characters involved had a romantic relationship not a friendly one.

Whatever, now I can play Tales of Graces FINALLY! I love Tales games. I totally expect this one to be about friendship, racism, and mysterious girls who are supremely powerful and a really big meanie! Whatever, the plots are stupid but the battle systems are the bees knees. My favorite system next to the SMT games. The character designs for this one are really bad. Disco Duck lead, totally. Too bad the DLC costumes AREN'T FOR THE CHARACTERS I WANT TO CHANGE. (It's bad when I'm willing to pay money not to look at a character design.)

Now bring over Xillia! :< You better not bring over Tales of Heart 2D/3D thing for the DS ten years later nobody wants that game anymore it's bad enough I'm just now playing a game that was released in 2009. :<

If you have a 360 and haven't played it, you need to get Child of Eden right NOW!!! I just finished playing through it and it's one of the most amazing experiences ever. It's the spiritual sequel to Rez, with a mind-blowing soundtrack from (and starring Lumi of) the Genki Rockets. If you've watched Hello Pro Time, their song Star Line is the song that plays during the end credits. Amazon has it for less than 20 bucks, and it's more than worth it at that price.

I have spent $12 on costume DLC for Tales of Graces because I disliked the initial designs of several characters. I feel dirty for wasting my money on useless DLC like that. ;_; I guess I will replay the game several times. I mean, I thought I would, but now I feel like need to get my money's worth hehehe... I love Malik and Pascal but they are sooo horrible in battles! It's worse since I'm playing on hard and trying to do a no-death no-gel run. But I love the after battle skits with them the most. :/ Why did my least favorite character (Cheria) have to be the healer? Ugh. :|

As for Skyward Sword, I only played a few hours, so I won't pass final judgment yet. In fact, I can't even say if I like it, since I basically only had two play sessions so far. But it does look promising. It also has the most charming Zelda BY FAR.

[/quote]

Spent some time with it the last weekend and I'm now at 20h.

It's a lot of fun, eventhough the fighting is annoying and unprecise at times, despite the wiimote-plus.

It makes me feel young again with how the game is crafted and reminds me of the good old Zelda games.

However, there was this part were you had to climb a tree first from the inside and then from the outside and that shit was just fucking annoying. Because all the mobs respawned if you happened to fall off the tree.

Also, looks great in real 720p and with 16xAF.

I just started playing Tales of Graces f and definitely liking it so far. I think I'm at the end of the prologue, but I don't want to spoil it by reading anything outside the game.

The prologue is really short, so you probably are. In fact, you can skip it on the new game + iirc.

Speaking of tales...

I...I had to beat a boss on normal! It killed me. I failed on hard many times, had to drop to moderate, and still couldn't do it! ;_; It was a chain boss thing too so I didn't want to start over and grind because it was a pain beating the first boss! I then forgot to change the difficulty back and was wondering why it was so easy all of a sudden. I didn't notice until after I beat another boss and thought, "wow that was fast and easy" and then it dawned on me. >> I'm glad they always lampshade the stupid characters in tales games. It's nice thinking "so-and-so is an idiot" and have a character bring up how dumb they are unlike other games where everyone rolls with it and I'm sitting there wondering why no one is noticing how dumb it is.

Ughhhhh I forgot Xenoblade was coming out so soon! I don't know if I want to do another playthrough of Graces before playing it or after. In any case, I'm not touching it until I finish Graces. I don't need another backlog game >>

Why couldn't America have gotten the LTD red classic controller? It would've matched my Wii!

edit - gamestop had a preorder artbook and thus I ordered from them instead of nintendo. I did not get said artbook, and the employees said it was never a promotion. Trying to decide if an artbook is worth calling their customer service line and ruining someone's good friday.

I'm inclined to try it out during the summer holidays.

It certainly looks like a JRPG that's really worth checking out.

Something that I haven't felt in years.

Also decided that I should replay Okami again during the summer on Dolphin.

Seeing how I'm probably going to have a lot of free time on my hands during the summer holidays I was thinking about (re)playing some PS2 games.

PCSX2 has had some major improvements in the past half year, so now I can finally play Katamari and Okami in beautiful 1080p !

Here's God of War 2 running in 3195x2240 (that's 5x the PS2's resolution and double 1080p basically):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFaaIdfZyMQ

Okami running in 2048x1792:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoMLeETx4O0

It's pure beauty.

Now I just need to find a way to to manipulate the savegame so it resembles the one I have on the PS2.

And I think I might just give FF12 another chance since it looks quite good:

Don't know if anyone cares (though you should if you don't!), but the Wasteland 2 fund on Kickstarter ends in 34 hours.

It looks very exciting so far and I sure hope they will deliver - even though I enjoyed the dumbed down FO3 and New Vegas quite enough.

Ap - I set myself up with PCSX2 a few months ago. Didn't get to play it much since then, but it was flawless when tested, so now I just live my life with the cosy warm feeling inside that there is Ookami, Shadow of the Colossus, and Ico waiting for me to play.

I'd put some money down for Wasteland 2 if kickstarter wouldn't be such a shit place (for non-North Americans) to donate.

IndieGoGo is far superior.

I found Ico to be boring and uninteresting, might give it another try too.

Okami and SotC are masterpieces of course.

How did I just discover Zombie Daisuki. (the youtube channel has a bunch of other videos)

The promo art looks like there was a horrible accident in the Rhythm Tengoku or Warioware universe.

Well, it's a real time strategy and the actual gameplay style looks a bit more like Mother 3. There's even a guy who looks A LOT like Duster. You use the stylus to control hoards of adorable pixelated zombies. They collect items and chomp into people. It seems that they used to be farmers, so there's an element where you plant things and feed animals to power your hoards. It sounds a lot like the concept of Ecoris, another absurdly cute RTS.

They're just trying to get revenge on the people who turned them into zombies.

It's an import (for most of us) but it's $30 at playasia. I guess this is some sort of discounted re-release.

Who else could make cute killer zombies other than Japan?

I'm running it at 4x native (which is something around 2000x1500 pixels) and it runs pretty well with the speedhacks. Constantly 50+fps, mostly 60fps.

But the picture is a bit unsharp as you can see from the image. I haven't yet found out how to get rid of it (tried interlacing and other stuff), but when in motion it's not that noticable.

There basically only two drawbacks; the scroll-ish papyrus overlay is gone (they also had to remove it from the Wii version since they couldn't get it to work lol) and sometimes the drawing-background doesn't show up (drawing works just as "good" as on the PS2 version however).

I'm surprised I can still play with my old DVD.

We <3 Katamari also works perfectly.
