What are you listening to right now ?

Re: What are you listening to right now ?
They're opening for The Used~!? Shit. That's gonna be a good gig for them.
I'm listening now to Kuroki Meisa's "S.O.S. -watashi sagasanaide kudasai.-" and marveling at the irony of these lyrics. She didn't even write them, and I'm sure that lyrics were handled months before the album's release (and therefore months before any Jin-sexing happened) but this seems appropriate to her situation.

capsule - THE MUSIC
This is also my ringtone, after Toshiko sings "The music comes alive!" and goes into that awesome beat. Just recently I was listening to the song on my computer, and my phone rang RIGHT at that part. I was a little freaked out and in awe.
When I tried explaining the awesomeness of this to the person who called me (a technologically illiterate 50-something), he explained, in a very condescending way, that my song must have synced up with my phone.

I finally got around to listen to grab the Sonic Generations OST.
The Green Hill Zone classic music is so goddamned beautiful:

16-Bit music (or covers/remixes of them) was truly the golden era of not just console gaming, but also video game OSTs.

Apink - Prince - My new favorite kpop song. :D
[/quote]
SOMEONE FINALLY REALIZES. I actually just bought both of their albums yesterday at the Kpop store in the mall, the prices were actually really good, and they are legit, not bootleg Chinese crap or something. Also got some gorgeous A-pink and SECRET posters while I was there. I managed to find a few diamonds among the towering stacks of Super Junior and SNSD crap.
I also heard about this Becca thing, as I follow her on Facebook, but I don't like The Used and I'd have to hear the band before I just go crazy and say I'm going. Bennie Becca was fantastic, but this isn't Bennie Becca and I doubt Yuki or Cico will be joining her with this band.

Yeah, I'm not going. They haven't released anything, and I have class that night. I'm not ditching class for something I haven't heard.

Kpop CDs are actually really cheap unlike Jpop CDs. Which sucks if you like Jpop more the Kpop. ;D I can only find Kpop CDs at HMart which is about an hour away from me so it's not something I get to do often. I guess there's always YesAsia.
Anyway, BiS, anyone heard of them? They are like anti-idols. Idols doing crazy crap. First legit PV has them running around nude (in body suits), Second PV has them going inside their bodies which was really creepy by the way. So if you don't like stuff like that don't watch the PV.
They have a new song, IDOL. They had this whole media campaign surrounding their 1st anniversary saying they were losing their manager and becoming traditional idols. Then they come out with THIS. Well they are traditional idols in the truest sense. The song isn't bad either it's very heavy metal rockish.

Yeah, I know Kpop is much cheaper than Jpop in general, cause I listened to Kpop for like 2 years before I started buying any Jpop, but I was commenting on them even being cheaper than on YesAsia, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Oh my god, I'm 6 years late to the party, but Nobuchika Eri's first album, "nobuchikaeri" is my current jam, especially Lights. Mid-00's Shinichi Osawa is so perfect.
Re: What are you listening to right now ?
So, my ipod had a fit after I had to re-install my iTunes when my computer failed me. So instead of making new libraries and crap I just threw random on and whatever went on was there.
So the result? Songs I forgot I had and songs my niece had put on back when she lived with me.
It was the middle of the day at work when all of a sudden this song comes on. I started laughing because all I could think of was that SNL skit. But it's not the same. :< I like the original better. But everyone at work was wondering why I burst out laughing. Of course it's hard to explain unless you see the SNL skit.
Anyway, I found a bunch of old songs I haven't listened to in forever.
Here's a small list of what I've been listening to for the past few weeks.
Yasashii Bokyaku - Minori Chihara
Ai Oboete imasu Ka? - Mylene Version - Tomo Sakurai
Nagai Aida - Aya Matsuura (From Folks Songs 2) Kiroro Original
Fuyu ga Kuru Mae ni - Aya Matsuura and Yuko Nakazawa (From Folks Songs 2) Original
Ame Agari - Moeco Matsushita
True Faith - New Order
One Moment More - Mindy Smith
The Mummers' Dance- Loreena McKennitt
Pedicure Day - no3b (No Sleeves)

I loved that SNL skit <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> When I started watching The OC and that episode happened, I couldn't stop laughing despite it being a sad scene XD

Back on topic...
Zoe - Besame Mucho. I love this song no matter who covers it. It's so... sultry and beautiful and works with male or female vocals. As for Zoe, they're a pretty good spanish band; I also liked their unplugged performance of Sone. (Forgive my lack of spanish keyboard because I'm missing all sorts of tics and tacs D:)

Why have I never stopped to listen to Maaya Sakamoto's Shonen Alice album till today? It's like drinking water for the first time. (sorry I couldn't think of anything more witty) So much awesome!
Kinda sad her and Kanno broke it off after. But at least they still connect every now and then.

Porcelain Black - Swallow My Bullet
Has anyone ever heard of her? She used to go by Porcelain and the Tramps but changed it when she got signed to a major label because they didn't want people thinking it was a band. She's got that gritty sort of voice going on and I like it.

Radiohead!
Certain people did not even realize this band was on their iPod, nor did they claim to know who Radiohead is. Weirdo. Though I don't like the newest stuff I've heard (aka what I saw get performed on SNL a few months ago).

Re: What are you listening to right now ?
Just listened to the new album from THE Possible yesterday. Super disappointing. I think Tsunku has really lost his touch now. He hasn't done anything terribly interesting since the Meccha Mote stuff, and the last one was in early 2011. A C-ute song or two and a Berryz song or two are the closest he's gotten since then, but even those aren't groundbreaking.

Tsunku wrote some of the new songs, but I think some other people are credited for the actual music. A few users over at H!O were discussing how he didn't seem to have a whole lot to do with this album.

He still produces, oversees, and approves the songs, though. He didn't write the songs for a lot of the classic H!P groups as well, but they still were produced well and turned out extremely well, but things nowadays just seem dire. Sadly enough, the songs on this Possible album are better than anything MM has done in a few years, and as far as I know, he still writes almost all MM singles.
