Man, I forgot she was in the group.
Aika joined in the dark years of my fandom. I never hated her, but I just didn't really learn enough to like her either. She seems like a cool, laid back person but her comings, goings, injuries, and whatnot made zero blip on my radar so, this makes me neither happy nor sad.
I just hope she takes care of her health. Her feet are perma-broken.
Peace out Aika

With idols, it's rarely about having the whole package. People may complain that this is just recent MM, but it's the same even in super popular Johnny's groups. Each idol just needs to have something to make them stand out. Sayu is a terrible singer, but she's got tons of personality. Sayu and Koharu are probably the best examples of the "no such thing as bad publicity" saying. The people who make those "most hated" lists in Japan tend to get a hell of a lot of work. Aika, on the other hand, has committed the celebrity sin of not leaving an impression at all. I don't think anyone in this thread actually hates her (except maybe Cyrene ).

Everyone I know (except for some people from here and one obsessed RL friend) don't like her, so I guess in my circle I don't feel like the only one.
And hate is such a strong word, I just really don't like her. Hating someone requires me to know them personally!

Re: Peace out Aika
I posted this on FB, but it fits here, too:
Part of me feels bad for her because she seems like decent and hard-working person, but the larger part of me realizes that she got to be a pop idol for 5+ years despite having no discernible pop-idol skills. So all I can say is, Aika, I hope you saved your money or invested it wisely. You got to live a dream that millions of girls with your skill set will never come close to attaining. Your work ethic will serve you well in your future non-idol life.

It makes me even sadder that I don't care about this. I guess I saw it coming, but I was still hoping for a comeback at some point. It really sucks when someone has to graduate for medical reasons, but I guess it's better that way than the way some of them had to go (Miki, Koharu, etc.). I really hope to continue seeing her in H!P, but she's never tried making herself noticed before, so I doubt she'll do it now. Maybe she'll surprise us all and turn out like Konno with another successful career in the limelight.
Re: Peace out Aika
I'm upset because she's the member who really caught my eye when I started getting into MM back when EYN came out and with Risa leaving and the only members I really know (Sayu and Reina) also being close to leaving the group, I don't know how I feel about the group. 9ith gen are awesome and im sure 10th gen are also good, but they don't really appeal to me. Maybe because they are so young, I'm not really sure.
The group as a whole hasn't even done anything of interest to me since Ai left, and I was never a big fan of Ai so it's not like it's her departure that has me feeling iffy about the group.
I feel like pretty soon Reina and Sayu are going to be gone and I'll no longer have an interest in MM.
9nin Morning Musume with 5th-8th gen was my all time favorite because se of the girls ages and chemistry, and now I just don't know :/.

Re: Peace out Aika
The chemistry takes time to build though, you have to enjoy the journey that the girls take from joining the group to graduation and everything in between.
Reina and Sayu aren't going anywhere for a LOOOONG TIME.
Believe me, Risa's record won't last long.
