Rino just isn't very front-girl material. I really enjoyed her while she was in Undergirls, but now that she's shoved in my face all the time I just find her kind of grating. Her solo song (not the H!P cover) was catchy and all, but I can't even sit through the whole thing.







Oh, and Nattsumii is on the first day list! I hope she stays, she deserves it.

Sasshi is plenty awesome, but her personality is almost anti-front girl, she doesn't need to be front girl because she's already independent from the rest of the group, really. Her single is a fantastic piece of idol music and she's already getting more industry recognition through her other contacts than anyone else in AKB. I don't want to see her be center, since she doesn't need to be, but I'd like to see her do better than the likes of Yuki. You also have to keep in mind just how preliminary this is, since in the last election, Yuko's final votes were around 155,000 or so, so there's still a LOT of voting to go on. Granted it may be more spread out than before since everyone is going to be voting for their favorite generic SKE and NMB members who weren't included before, but the amount of votes so far may be very different from first day results.

I also don't get the Yukirin hate. I am pretty neutral with her. I remember reading an interview with her a year or two ago about how she joined AKB against her parent's wishes and that they pretty much stopped talking to her after she moved to Tokyo. To me, that takes guts and I admire that. Also, I think she's strongly in love with idols including H!P.



Sad to see the senbatsu rankings. I don't think I could ever care about anything that's not AKB. The only thing that's interested me so far is Tomochin's solo career. Yuki talks about how she doesn't associate with her parents in the first AKB documentary. She also talks about what a raging, overbearing bitch she is and how she wants to overtake everyone else :D While that seems to be a somewhat normal thing to hear for idols who are as competitive as they are, the way she says these things just makes her sound like a stone cold bitch with nothing but power on her mind. And again, I really don't like her shtick that she's been doing unwaveringly for a few years now. It makes her seem uber fake in every way. And yes, some people may say that all idols are fake, but there are different degrees. She's exaggerated her personality so much to the point that its like she's basically constantly doing a parody of herself. And she gets wota votes because she has a large chest that she constantly squeezes together.

I do like it, it's got all my favorite anime elements and it's pretty well animated. It's getting very slice of life right now though and it's starting to raise a lot of questions about the group. I hope they wheel out Akimoto's head in a jar or something. (But I know that wont happen.)





This weeks episode was a filler with a purpose of hopefully moving the storyline along. They also had a look into Namie Tsuji Duck Lips, whose name I will never be able to remember. It was all sorts of creepy. CLONES, CLONES EVERYWHERE! I love that they made fun of her ducklip. And we finally get to find out who Tsubasa is! YAY~ I was wondering when she'd show up.
