I think Tsunku is getting back to the Golden-era type Momusu. A girl could leave in four years or less. I hope Junior Momusu last

Yeah, I feel the same way. I reeeaaally hope Tsunku follows the AKB model in this aspect and keeps girls around well into their 20s, but I'm not too sure... I mean, I really loved watching Ai grow up, so I'd like to do that for the other girls too. That's the best thing he could ever take from AKB IMO. Admittedly, the group would get huge if he continued to add girls every other year as he's been doing without graduating someone else at the top, but I really hate the idea of watching them graduate into obscurity before they've grown into full awesomeness. Ai should've graduated at 18 or so to be back to Golden Era Musume standards, but she didn't really get awesome until 20 and after. Tsunku fucked up letting her dominate every single song, but she was definitely awesome as a singer and performer then, so I'd like to see the other girls have a chance to reach those heights too.

I will be sad if the girls graduate before their potential is realized. And if he lets the girls age, we can get back to that multi aged momusu I adored so much. The only exception is if the girls will graduate into groups. Honestly I love this bunch and wouldn't mind them becoming Risas or Ais (and I.don't mind more auditions for larger MM.). If he's going to graduate them early then he should pick older girls.

If you really want to get technical about it, it's what Tsunku did with Berryz and C-ute. All of them are starting to hit the late teens early 20 mark now. They've been active for 10 years. This is not something new they've developed over night. Now if that's a good thing or not, I don't know? But they've really started to branch out and make themselves known now.

OT but what are they going to do with Berryz and C-ute once the members get to the graduation age?



I really can't see new members joining so if for example Captain graduates, would BK then split up?

I don't get the need to keep a group around for longer than it needs to be. Sure, the formula of member graduations worked well for Morning Musume, but for groups like C-ute and Berryz that get to a point where they can no longer continue, I say let them retire the name they've worked so hard to build up and look back on it as an accomplishment to be proud of. I love C-ute and Berryz, but I don't need new members to make me appreciate them any more than I already do.



Give any new songs meant for those groups to a shiny new egg group or something instead!

Momusu is built by auditions and graduations but, like in the Platinum 9-Fantasy Juuichi era there was a special case. I think the

9ki,10ki and 11 Gen is also a special case. They are all relatively new members and range from 13-17 and a few months. When Sayu and Reina graduate <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':cryalot:' />, they could have around 4-5 years under their belts. They would still be young and with more than half the group having steady fanbases and the fact they will have a line up of 9-11 members I don't see the 9.10.11 line-up going anywhere anytime soon.



Also, the Junjun&LinLin era prolonged the additions of Momusu for 3 years. I would be happy if each member got at least 7 years. The 9+ year model that we know is love is because beloved members graduated much sooner than they should have and I think UFA knew they could not risk graduating experienced girls. I want to watch these girls grow up and not leave at like 18 and then we hardly ever see them again. Pretty sure that's Cuca (?), and she's been discussed a lot along with Karin for future MM members. But it was also mentioned that Cuca's not old enough for these auditions, so maybe she'll audition next time.

Someone posted the fan recording of Ooki Hitomi at the Egg concert done by Karin Miyamoto, Kosuga Fuyuka(the member of S/mileage who dropped out), and Oda Sakura (S/Mileage auditioner). Looks like Karin has the Reina role, Fuyuka the Sayumi role, and Sakura the Eri role.



More proof that Karin can sing! Hey, I heard Tsunku needs a vocalist for 11th gen...

I would like Karin in MM, but I wonder if they would really add eggs 3 times in a row, I guess they did for the 8th gen, so it's already been 3 times, but since these auditions are so close together and all.

I actually just want them to make a new group with Karin.

If none of them are up to snuff vocally, then he'll put Karin in Momusu.



If by some miracle, he finds another Riho-level talent, then Karin will go elsewhere (new group, soloist, or a change of agencies).

He would still need a Karin-esque voice. She sings way better than Riho does, and Morning Musume doesn't need another dancer. They need a singer.

I think Karin expected a S/mileage addition so didn't even try for the Musume, or she got farther in S/mileage then she did with Musume auditions to the point she would have had to pick one or the other and Karin sucks at Russian roulette. The more eggs get added to Musume I think the more Karin might want to join Musume.



But I think Sayubee would be an awesome addition, she's got a great voice and that fug factor Tsunku likes for his Musume. So much so I'd want her over Karin if it came down to it. (But I wouldn't mind both.)

She's a pretty big S/mileage fan, so I think she really had her heart set on getting in during that audition.

The qualifications for applying to this audition are as follows:

- Girls who are between the ages 10~17 as of 2012/4/1

- Those who are not signed or under contract with an entertainment production/entertainment activity group at the time of applying.





That makes it look like eggs don't qualify. On top of that, they specifically mentioned how eggs could audition for the 9th and 10th gen, but that's not on the page this time. If any eggs get added I think it will be one of those "omg surprise!!" moments from Tsunku, not through the regular audition.

They mean girls under different companies. Eggs are already under UFA/H!P so it wouldn't cause any contract problems.

And about the egg thing, I think everybody just knows that they have the possibility to be added considering they added 2 in the last auditions, it doesn't say that they can't either, and eggs being added to groups is always supposed to be a possibility.

Considering the number of 9th and 10th gen girls that have prior experience, I can't imagine none of them were signed - Ayumi in particular I remember being a member some other smalltime idol group.
