It's actually supposed to be an A-side but common it's sung mostly by 2 girls in a 10 member group. It has a dance shot so maybe there will be a proper MV but no one knows for sure yet.



I personally like the song itself but the line dist. takes away from it.

You should just go ahead and watch the whole thing. It uses the same outfits from OTT and the same set. I don't really think you will be spoiling yourself if you go ahead and watch it.

I'm not sure if I fully understood it, but it seems Tsunku found the song to be cool in concerts and then exchanged the A/B-side. Do the hussle was at first the planned A-side. And then they were in a hurry to make a MV for it, so it turned out to be rather cheap.

Even the members were surprised and asking themselves "that's it !?".

We actually pretty knew all of this at the time the song came out. But it's still kind of nice to hear the girls say "yeah we thought it was stupid too." I always thought Koi wa Hassou was a weird song and had a cheap looking PV too, so I'm not sure there was a real winner in that single.

Yup, and she said that they had already filmed the PV for Do the Hustle when the sides got switched and that they didn't have time to prepare a new dance for Chokkan so most of the PV were just of the members.



I prefer Do the Hustle myself but don't think it's A-side worthy.

I haven't watched that PV in a while. When you guys complain about sparkles in 123, remember Chokkan 2. Worst. PV. Ever. imo. I can see what they're trying to do with the concert footage but it doesn't work here, especially since the conecrt footage quality is noticeably different from the close up shots.

I don't hate the song though like everyone else, it's just okay. But catchy!



But I do quite like the Koi wa Hassou PV. Although I think the reason is doesn't sound single worthy is the weird vocal editing.



But didn't they have a dance from Chokkan 1? I'm not sure how much time was in between that album and this single, I'm sure they must have done it at a concert. Why not use that dance?

I think I mentally blocked out those concert parts from Chokkan2. Wow now that I look back on this single it's all sorts of fail. The songs themselves are both good but executed very poorly. I'd be ashamed to even admit I did this if I were Tsunku or Morning Musume.

I don't know why they didn't just make a better version that combined the Close-Up with the far shots.

I loved the outfits from the PV, it's a shame they weren't able to present it well. I know, they were completely random: Elegant girls, Lion Tamers, and... Mini Moni?

I gave up a while ago trying to make sense of how they chose the girls for these. Only a handful of them have made sense. Sayu says she recorded comments for "about 7 or 8 songs" which is almost half of the 18 songs left. 19 if they have someone talk about One.Two.Three. Takahashi will probably at least show up for Kono Chikyuu, and I imagine Risa will do Renai Hunter, leaving the 9th and 10th gen to have to talk about their songs in groups.
