New units!? According to the article, each unit is going to perform new song at H!P summer live.

Hmm. Both units LOOK pretty, but are pretty awful combinations vocally.



According to that article Masa linked, these units were born out of the "SATOYAMA movement." The SATOYAMA movement is all about living life in balance with nature. So basically, the awful new SATOYAMA Life show.



Peaberry will perform during the Ktkr concerts and their song is called "Cabbage Hakushou" (A White Paper on Cabbage). DIY♡'s will perform during the Wkwk shows, and their song is called "ForeFore ～Forest For Rest～". It also says that these units won't just be for the concerts, they'll continue their activities after the summer concerts are over.



Thrilling.

I agree, the voice combos probably won't sound the best. (I seriously thought Riho was Kanyon at first.) I'm excited though! Hopefully the songs sound good?

This pretty much. I think DIY would've been good without Haruna, perhaps picking Chisato or Ayumi in place of her.

I like Riho and Dawa, but they are pretty much the worst combination ever vocally. Dawa is so strained-sounding and Riho is the strainiest of them all. I'm really not interested in either of these units. But I'm still curious to hear what the songs sound like.

They must decide group members by drawing names out of a hat or something. Oh well. At least they look pretty. I don't think this is going to get them more viewers, though.

I've never watched SATOYAMA Life but, I know it basically H!P girls talking about the environment. This is kinda making me interested in watching now. So are they going to treat this like Shugo Chara (I know SATOYAMA isn't an anime) and have one unit do the opening and the other do the ending?

edit: Though, as far as the other group goes, they seem to fit. And this fits the general trend of Haruna being friends with everyone outside of Morning Musume >_<. So I think this fits canon just fine!

I love Eripon, she's my favorite, but I don't really understand what relation she or Masaki has with Wada >_>. You still have the same issue of the pairing making no real sense, unless I missed something.



I suppose it would make sense to replace Miyabi with Akari in DIY, then they could explore her history as an egg some more, and how she's finally working with her seniors. I could follow that.

I'm talking about vocal wise. Masaki and Eripon have more similar voices to Dawa while Riho and Dawa are on different vocal scales.

Uh, these are idols at H!P, not classmates that get up in groups to work out a task. lol

The sub-groups/shuffles/etc. in H!P past often didn't "make sense". Groupings like GAM and Hangry & Angry are pretty rare imho.

I'm under the impression from the descriptions I've read that it's more about farming and DIY (as in Do It Yourself). Planting things, learning how to make things. It would at least be more interesting if it were more about "the environment" in the usual sense - plant and wildlife conservation, energy saving, how to be more green, etc.

Well, these groupings fucking suck. I've been saying H!P needs new subunits for forever but pairings of some of the worst singers in H!P were not what I had in mind. Miyabi's voice is wasted on DIY, tbh. Also, Haruna should not be in any group with "dance" in the name.

To make up for them being the worst singers in H!P?

They'll probably get a song that focuses on their moves rather than vocals. It's Dance in your heart, not Diva in your heart.



Forest For Rest is the least exciting H!P song title I've seen in a very long time, but I think it'll turn out to be a fun dance song. If no one can sing other than Miyabi, it has to be really catchy, that's kind of the motto of Berryz Kobou anyway, so I have no doubts. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /devil.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':devil:' />

I think Peaberry should be Mizuki and Rina. They have the same kind of sweet voice and face to go along with a sweet sounding berry name. Or if they were going for a more cute image maybe Meimei and Maa-chan?



DIY should be Ayumi, Nakki, Maimi, Chinami, and Kanyon. Since they seem liked they'd have a really cool dance. I'd choose Captain from Berryz, but then it's be too High King maybe.

They don't sound bad, mainly because the song is slow but they have their moments. (In other words, if you hate slow songs, you're gonna have a bad time!) Still trying to wrap my head around this combo though.

The verses were fine, but, and maybe it's just because it's a concert rip, the chorus parts sounded a bit off vocally. These 2 don't sound great together, okay, but not really good or anything.

I knew this would be a slow song. The beginning music reminds me way too much of a lullaby, they both sound okay. I wanna wait for a radio preview to make a final decision on this song though.
