Yeah, Haruka probably has more natural vocal talent than anyone since 6th gen (not counting Linlin - I don't remember which gen the pandas are considered to be part of). Gotta say I don't really understand the scale upon which Magnes is measuring vocal skill. How much you LIKE someone's voice is subjective, but basic skill (pitch, rhythm, breathing, etc) is factual.

If Mano Erina or Natsumi Abe can be a soloist, pretty much anyone can. I'm not seeing why you think Airi or Reina is significantly better than Chisato, tbh. They're all pretty much equal, they just have different strengths and weaknesses.

Considering my belief that Abe is the greatest singer in the history of Morning Musume, I don't think we have the same tastes at all.

edit: Also, I wasn't saying Kudo was bad, I like Kudo's voice too. I'm just saying all the other 10th gens have pretty terrible voices. They'll improve, but I mean right now.

You have to set your bias aside and realize that while Abe may have been good. There are a few other girls in the history of MM who surpass her vocal skills.

And honestly I could not be happier that Mano is leaving, she was a waste of space imho. In a group, she may have been tolerable, but I could never accept her as a soloist, most of her work was horrible.

Haru, this board has always hated Mano. I doubt they ever listened to anything released after the summer of 2009. The hate's pretty funny given how non-offensive/ignorable she is: as if her very existence affects everyone. If she were in a group, I could understand because you couldn't get away from her if you liked the group. There was actually a period of non-hate for a while because she had such a low profile. It's nice to see it coming back.

I like Mano too even with lack of vocal talent. I just wish she kept with the piano gimmick and only swayed away from it for more fun songs like Genkimono and Haru no Arashi.

I love Abe to death. She has been my favorite in MM since I first started to listen to them when I was really really young.

But I have to say that for me, Nacchi is the 4th best singer in MM. She is behind Miki, Maki and Ai-chan. But she clearly is one of the best singers in MM's history.

But clearly H!P now needs an awesome solo singer. and that's is fast.

They really need an Aya number two.

and I also really dont hope they are letting Mano gradute because of Mittsi... :/

But I have to admit that I really like her, and her latest single really were awesome

When I used to translate her blog, it was obvious that she was trying hard to develop her career outside of idol singing work. I'm glad she's leaving so she can do more acting (Kamen rider, various plays, etc).

Not to mention the fact that Koharu had 3 solo albums. You can put all the sparkles, stars and moons around her name, but Koharu was essentially a soloist who had more music than Nacchi, H!P's pride and joy.

Also, I love Nacchi, but she was so rough and hit or miss with her earlier solo concerts. Maybe giving her slower songs is what helped her improve. I just got really excited about her music so I'm gonna go listen to my Datte Ikitekanakucha single. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ohyeah.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D/' />

Also, I remember seeing a variation on MoBeKiMasu, so maybe that change was for a smoother transition. They sometimes wrote it as MB℃ES (E for Erina)

I like Mano too! Em-El converted me a long time ago. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol:' /> I just think her solo career within H!P has been a giant waste (particularly in recent years) and I'd rather see her move on and (hopefully) do something better than being a weird anomaly within H!P.

Arg, Jpop and it's obsession with group names based on initials/numbers. If Kanjani8, KAT-TUN and Kis-my-ft2 figured out ways to stretch their names, I'm sure MoBeKiMaSu will.

I guess I should have worded it better? It was supposed to be a joke but I'm very bad at them. I guess I meant to word it so it read, Not that soloists ever do anything noteworthy in H!P, instead of implying that H!P soloist never do anything.

But anyway my basic gripe is the system. I'm going to fault H!P and UFA for letting their soloist slip into obscurity instead. Because that's basically what every single one of them have done. And it's a shame! (I guess that's what I was really trying to get across but didn't?)

I recently watched that Kamen Rider movie with her. She plays an alien in human form who becomes a Kamen Rider and gets involved with a male Kamen Rider. Try figuring this line out:

Realizing that the Dustards are after her, Gentaro protects Nadeshiko from them before he transforms into Kamen Rider Fourze to fight just as Nadeshiko suddenly transforms into Kamen Rider Nadeshiko to help take out the Dustards. Soon after, the Virgo Zodiarts arrives to demand Nadeshiko Misaki from Kamen Rider Fourze as he assumes Elek States to fight the Horoscopes. Deciding to change back into Base States, Kamen Riders Fourze and Nadeshiko execute a Double Rider Rocket Punch to force the Virgo Zodiarts to fall back.

Short version

Gentaro protects Nadeshiko (Mano) from bad guys. They both transform in Kamen Riders and fight them off. Then another bad guys shows up and wants to take Nadeshiko away. They attack with a special move and he goes away.

Soon after, a human consumed with monstrous cosmic energy, Virgo Zodiarts, arrives and demands Nadeshiko Misaki (Mano) (Mano) from Kamen Rider Fourze. Kamen Rider Fourze strikes a fighting pose to fight the him.

Kamen Rider Fourze and Nadeshiko change back into their Base States and execute a Double Rider Rocket Punch which forces the Virgo Zodiarts to fall back.

Like someone said on the previous page, I was shocked that Manoeri got the solo career over both Yuri Sawada and Mika Mutou because honestly they both had WAY better vocals than her...I'm a little sad that she's leaving when her music has been getting better and all that and I wonder what'll happen now since H!P is solo act-less...
