I saw this when it was first uploaded a few weeks ago, but not a lot of people seem to know about this video.
It's like a slow descent into Momoclo wota madness. The payoff is... just fucking weird. But this is definitely a video to watch if you want to see some truly high levels of wota weirdness.

Re: Momoiro Clover
Hyadain wrote a new song for a StarChild artist for the ending of the anime JoshiRaku. The song is called "Nippon Egao Hyakkei". The famous Yoshida Brothers are on the shamisen. But it's not MomoClo (but I figured I'd put it here anyway).
The group is called MomoKuro-tei Ichimon (The Peach Black Clan).
Here's the ED of the anime.

What's the first thing you do when you return home after a concert?

They sound like Momoclo though. Or do all StarChild artists just sound like Momoclo?

Re: Momoiro Clover
Shiritsu Ebichu sound kind of like MomoClo. They all do kind of sound alike.
Oh, and there's going to be a new Sailor Moon anime next year. MomoClo are singing the opening.

This doesn't just sound like Momoclo, this is Momoclo. They must be using a different name, but this is definitely not a different group. I hear all of their individual voices. Shiori, Arin, Reni, all of them. MomoKuro is definitely Momoclo, without a hint of a doubt.

You guys have been watching Akari's sit-com Urero Mikakunin Shoujo, right? It's about a production company who is trying to promote an idol group. Akari is a temp at the company. It started in October. The laugh track is annoying, but it's Akari.
Anyway, if you haven't been following, the company does form a group, and that group gets songs. The members of the group are named Momorin, Tamachan, Saaya, Catherine (the American), Golina, and Miss X. Except for the reluctant Miss X, they don't show up in the show except for pictures and audio snippets and ending themes. They also provide the Next Episode narration. They also do a radio program.
Their name is Mekakunin Shoujo-tai UFI. Or Unidentified Fantastic Idol, if you prefer.
Here is their song "We are UFI!!!"
Some snippets of other songs. Miracle and Alone.

Re: Momoiro Clover
Momoclo is finally getting a new single! They're doing the theme song for the drama Akumu-chan (starring Sailor Mars Kitagawa Keiko, Gackt, and Yuuka) which starts 10/13.
The song is called "Saraba, Itoshiki Kanashimi-tachi yo" and you can hear a short previews here and here (the second is hard to hear).
It comes out 11/21, but there's not much other info out yet. From their homepage it looks like there will only be two editions, a RE and an LE with DVD. And apparently the aim with this song is to make them sound more like "artists" (as opposed to idols) while keeping their "Momocloness."

Re: Momoiro Clover
Found a Momokurotei Ichimon performance from Music Fair.
I'm so torn about Momoclo. I love them to bits and they perform like 110%, but their singing. It's more like yelling and I just can't.
Anyway, Momoclo's next single sounds promising, from what little I heard.

Re: Momoiro Clover
Momoclo is one of the few groups that I prefer studio to live.
BUT
I love watching them live. Their energy is off the charts. I don't think I've ever seen a group that's as balls to the wall "genki" as they are. I forgive all singing errors because of how hard they are performing.
THAT SAID
I really liked that live! I didn't think it was bad at all! :D

Re: Momoiro Clover
I thought Momoka, Shiori and Reni did really well! They were the only one's other than Akari with lines that were singing, and Akari was rather pitchy. Their songs are incredibly fast paced and SUPER high pitched, and they outsang 99% of Momusu. I was actually super impressed.

PV is out for MomoClo's new single. Though the song was a bit long, the dancing kept me entertained enough.
Also, I hear they are a shoe in for Kohaku this year. I guess I finally have a reason to watch, if they do get invited. I hope so!

H!P being there in the past wasn't enough for you? Why would MC make you change your mind, especially with how terrible their live performances are? I hope, for their own dignity, that they lip-synch.

I sure didn't. She didn't say "watch again", she just said "watch," which implies she never had before. Not trying to troll, but their live performances are dreadful, in the instances they sing live. I literally can't watch it and it makes me feel embarrassed to watch. I don't know how much they sing live on the whole, but that's the only reason I'll watch idol performances, is if there's actually live singing.
I don't watch it myself, though I do love enka. Its too much of a pain in the ass to download a what, 4 hour (?) show that I'll probably only watch 30-60 minutes of.

Re: Momoiro Clover
Full PV for new single
Well, never thought I'd see the day, but this is the first song by them that I truly like. The video is decent, but the dancing is just a little too weird for me. The song just has something that I felt most of their previous efforts have been lacking. It has some of their trademark randomness that usually just turns me off from them, yet it has a more palpable structure and a more interesting vocal delivery than most of their stuff. I've felt that their discography as a whole has that odd kind of polarizing effect on me, where I'll like something about every song, but then some other aspect of the song just completely turns me off from it and negates the enjoyable aspects, but this one just got it all right.

You know the whole point of me post was that PV right? Totally ignored it and bashed my comment on Kohaku instead.
But anyway, to answer your previous statement, I never really watched Kohaku. I always saw bits and pieces after the fact. Why bother with a show when I only care about like, one group? To be honest I think the only time I watched more then a clip was the time AKB and H!P were on in the same year. If more then one group I like are going to be on it, then that's more of an incentive to me watching it. As for enka, as much as I like it. I'm not about to download some monster file just to get an enka fix.
Back to the PV. I thought the dance was pretty cool, especially when they all moved in a group. I think that was my favorite part. A big problem with their singing live is that they put SO much energy into the performance that their vocals can't match up. And it falls flat and unappealing. This is a group you need to go see and not a group you just listen to.

Re: Momoiro Clover
LOL, since the only text with the link was the two letters "PV" I completely didn't see it there, I only saw the preview one a couple posts earlier, and I can't watch YouTube videos at work, which is where I made my first post, so I couldn't have clicked on it even if I did see it. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... nceman.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':danceman:' />
And I admit some parts of the dance are really well-done, then others just look plain weird and out of place. Overall, I like it, but at a few passages, I'm a little weirded out. I really like the costumes, too.
