I thought it was "Genki Love" but "Shake it up" makes more sense, and agreed. The auto-tune in this song almost seems to overpower their voices.

I heard 'shake it up' but when I checked some fan lyrics on line and they had it written as 'Shake it up' and 'Take it love' so if the take it love is correct, you weren't too far off.

They just put up a "Dummy Version" of the dance with what seems to be their dance teachers doing the dance. They make some of the moves I thought looked sort of dumb look better.

They certainly do make some parts looks cleaner and better, like the wavey arms stuff, but they look constricted in that room! I know they practice facing the other way, but it looked like they weren't able to space out as much and the girls on the side looked like they might hit the walls.

I like this song a lot, except for the chorus which is painfully recycled and predictable. The rest of the song is great, though it feels a bit ambitious for a single. Would be a great album track.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't think I hate it as much as I originally did, I just feel like it's not single material.



I still hate the cutesy chanting though.

It seems like they've changes a few of the moves around from the instructor version. I think I like the one without the changes better. When they do the holding hands ripple circle thing it looks stupid. I still like it overall, though.

Darn, I didn't really want more generation songs. They should really mix it up more because it seems MM is seperated in generations when they should really just be a group.

I think this is a strategy for avoiding the unpleasant task of making a unified single that includes all girls because the Maji Desu ka SKA formula would get old every time. The group has become defined as 3 groups now, and they would like to remind you of this at every chance possible. Well, actually 4, the main group is Reina & Riho with a dash of Sayumi, and maybe Ayumi if you read the recipe incorrectly.



I like the 3 split c/ws, we get extra songs, period. This is a bonus. When time goes by, those songs will be revisited in other ways, like how Tsunku said he wanted all of H!P to perform the Reina+Sayu song from the 50th single. Considering that this comes so closely after a full album, I don't know how necessary it is to have so many new songs at this moment, but if they keep this up, I totally see a split generation Morning Musume small tour gimmick in the future. Well, probably only if they delay the 11th gen debut.

It's not ALL the time, it's two times in a row... but I think it's a good idea though and I'm glad to see them going with it.



It has it's plus sides.



- Cd covers aren't going to be the full group posing slightly different to the A, B and C versions. (not to mention D,E,F.....)



- Fans get to hear more of their favorite members, you're a fan of Kuduu or Eripon? Well thank fuck for these generation songs, because no way in hell are they gonna get any serious camera time anytime soon.



- More "original" songs, I say original but... might just be cover versions but hey... someone different singing it with different mixing is kinda cool right?

I Absolutely love this song. the dance is awesome. If only it could have had a bit more variety between the 1st and 2nd verses like What's up did. the dance was repetitive too. but whatever I still like it. ^^

Gotta say, I'm really happy about what H!P is doing with this single.



The single is great, the dance is great, and the three different B-sides is a nice touch. I also love the posting of the dance rehearsals on youtube. A cheap form of promotion, but effective.



It looks like UFA is finally serious about promoting Momusu again.

Does anyone have a list going of promos they've been doing for this single yet? I remember reading that they'll appear on a few different TV shows, but I'm not sure how many so far. Anyway, it's way before the single even releases and we're hearing about upcoming promo already. That's pretty good. Go, UFA, go!

Are they finally getting around to adopting the AKB/Idoling!!! genius tactic and releasing PVs for all the b-sides, or did I misread something?

They haven't released DVD info yet for the singles, but I'm betting on the standard dance, solo, group shot of the A-side like always. MM don't have the budget for multiple PVs, if The Matenrou Show's half-assed PV is an example.



It would be nice for the three generations to have PVs for their songs, but that's a big fat pipe dream if I ever saw one. ;D

That's really awesome, I'm glad they're mixing everyone up. AND we still get a b-side with the whole group. I hope it has decent line distribution, although having small group songs usually makes up for it.

I'm afraid to even wonder what a song with just Ayumi and Mizuki will sound like.

I can sort of seeing their voices being alright together, if Ayumi was a better singer.

I think Mizuki and Ayumi will be fine. In the event where they performed together neither of them did bad and I'm sure Ayumi has improved since then so I think it will be pretty good.
