Given all the violence and hate for Japanese companies and Japanese people that's a tidal wave through China right now, this is probably the best decision they could've made is to disassociate themselves from anything that originates in Japan. There have been angry mobs of Chinese people destroying Japanese-owned shopping malls and businesses in China lately and it seems to be a problem. The two girls who were also supposed to be coming from AKB48 to help out with the opening of SNH were scheduled to be at this event and they were denied Visas to even get into the country, if this tells you anything.



I think its stigmatic enough to just have the 48 name there, because that already marks it as something associated with being Japanese, which right now in China is like being part of the Nazi party. I worry for their future. I really wonder if they're going to have much attendance at a theater that Chinese citizens would probably be looked down upon for attending show at, and I wonder if they're going to fall prey to all the vandalism and other acts of aggression against Japanese businesses in the area. And I know Japanese fans won't be willing to go out there to see these shows, especially if there's a chance they'll be beaten to death by Chinese nationals outside the show or something :(



Anyway, the girls are pretty cute and I'd be interested to see them do more stuff, but who knows how this'll all turn out at the end of the day.

I believe the higher-higher-ups of the project are Japanese, but they hired an entirely Chinese staff to organize and carry out the actual SNH day-to-day operations.

NMB48 hasn't been having a good run lately. With many, many members leaving, and now Team BII has been formed, and is complete, but Yui isn't in it. So she's holding a senbatsu position with no Team position, strange. :/

Team A – Kodokuna Hoshizora - Holy high notes batman! I'm all for singing in a higher register, but a full song of it. It's a nice song, but I'd love to hear this is a lower register.

To be honest, I couldn't get through the whole thing.



Team K – Scrap and Build - Much better then Team A's song, this is almost standard AKB to me, except darker. Are they saying baby screw up? Anyway, I like this song a lot. Since I enjoy the standard AKB songs.



Team B – Seigi no Mikata janai Hero - Lemon! Miichan! Team B has most of my favorite members in it now. So now I'm biased so I'll try to find something wrong with this song for you. How many songs are they going to make with instrumental opening like that. It's become their thing and it's starting to get old. But the song it's all idol. It's very standard idol. Actually, I was worried at the beginning that this would be another drama PV. I really don't like them. If I wanted to watch a musical, I would. I hate talking before songs.



Under Girls - Tsugi no Season - THIS WHOLE VIDEO REMINDS ME OF KAMEI ERI! (Remember when she use to do this stuff on H!M@?) I miss Eri, one of the girls even looks like a young Eri. WTF man? Oh hey, Miorin again! I found the PV more entertaining then the song to be honest, I like the song though.





Also New Gingham Check MV directed by Takahashi Eiki - While nice and full of classic AKB drama, I still like the old PV better. I'm biased because I hate their drama PVs.

Also in other news that I found interesting, Kasai Tomomi apparently up and quit the 10,000 yen challenge.

Because I believe this is how it works, anyone that's ever auditioned for a Morning Musume audition automatically makes it into being a senbatsu member, so Meru is totally going to be there. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... R#>/8o.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='8o' />

I think Akimoto likes to rub it into UF and Tsunku's face when someone they cast aside makes it bigger then their girls. Though to be honest, that wasn't hard with Aika.

Aika Oota auditioned for MM? Feh, Tsunku's loss, she's fierce. She does have a case of bitchface now and again though. Like I wouldn't mess with her, I reckon she'd kick ass in a fight.



OH and also that theory is untrue: Ayaka Umeda, Kayo Noro, Sumire Sato, these girls all auditioned for MM and are (were in Noro's case) hardly ever in senbatsu (in AKB, Noro got like 3/5 for SDN which isn't bad)

That's the whole point, she's adorably angry and tsundere-ish a vast majority of the time, its part of her personality! It definitely is his loss, though I can't see her fitting in that well with most other H!P girls because she's like this so much and is really not shy about acting this way.

If you're freaked out by perfection that's your problem haha. Sumire is gorgeous. It's like how Cyrene thinks Umechan is kind of uggs, I don't get that. There are literally no ugly AKB girls, some are less attractive than others, and some of the former Team 4 girls are positively strange looking, but none are UGLY in my opinion.

Its just getting really hard to care about AKB's stuff anymore or about any of these scandals. I have nothing against Yuka, she was pretty cool, its just the facade of AKB is really starting to break down and its hard to really care about any of the girls in particular anymore when most of them just seem to act more fake than they used to and that more members are joining or leaving AKB every couple months than were even in the group when it started, and the music has been declining for about the last half a year pretty steadily. I've just realized there are much better idol groups around and am starting to move on just like I moved onto AKB after H!P went to shit.

She's actually one of the early members, she's been there forever, but the most exposure she probably ever got was in the sub-group DiVA. She was never terribly popular, but every girl still has her hardcore fans, especially if they've been around that long.

Yeah, he definitely knows his way around the industry and understands how it works, and I can see that 10 year mark will be here in about 2 more years, which seems about right by my estimation. I'm not abandoning them or anything, I'm still going to listen to stuff they put out, but I'm just devoting a lot more of my attention to other idols right now and in the forseeable future. Smaller idols need the support more, anyway, so I'd rather see some of the other great ones out there take their spotlight for as long as they can hold it.

Yuka leaving SUCKS. I LOVED HER. She was like the best singer in AKB. DAMMIT. TWO of my top 10 are gone now. Unless Sae just comes back and never really goes to SNH, which I can see happening tbqh.
