I talked about Dorothy Little Happy in the Music Chat. No one seemed interested that much. :< What I assumed this thread was about, was groups like EE Jump and anything related to Tsunku. You know, H!P Related?

So I'll go with that, since it was the first thing I thought about.

ENJOY SOME EE JUMP FOLKS! Screw Maki's brother for ruining something so awesome.

Just link anything that is even vaguely related to H!P that newer fans may not have ever heard of.

I know there are tons of people who have never given Melon Kinenbi a listen for example.

Linking anything is fine, but it has to be related to H!P in some way, no matter how small

I played Ikina Rhythm to death my sophomore/junior years of college, and then sometime during the transitions to various new computers it evaporated. Haven't heard it in so long!

Oh I like this topic! It makes me feel like a really old H!P fan though, since "old" H!P is my favorite H!P.

Miyoshi Chinatsu - Anata no Shirts to Love Song

It's slow and probably boring to most people, but this song was my favorite to lull me to sleep when I lived by myself. Her voice is warm and comforting and I still get shivers whenver I listen to it.

Sheki-dol - Teteiteki Unmei

My favorite Sheki-dol song! There is something about this video that is delightfully oldschool. Plus the girls have some of the best vocals to come out of H!P ever.

Sonim - Curry Rice no Onna

If H!P fans don't know this song, they don't deserve to be H!P fans. That's all.

You want old school? How about the very first HP member?

Michiyo Heike- Anata no yume ni Naritai.

Miyoshi Chinatsu, H!P's second soloist (after Heike). Her debut single, Unchain My Heart, was a nice disco-type song, but she was short lived.

T&C Bomber/Taiyou to Ciscomoon Time!

My four all time favorite songs.

Marui Taiyou -winter ver.- - I remember hearing this in Orphan the anime series, before I was really into H!P. I thought it sounded like something H!P would do, but wasn't sure till later when I researched it.

Uchuu de La Ta Ta

DON'T STOP Renaichuu

Gatamekira

Also, some old school for you. Osaka Performance Dolls, Inaba Atsuko was a member of the group in the early to mid-90s. They had a sister group, Tokyo Performance Dolls. They are like a mix between AKB48, Onyanko Club and Takarazuka Revue. I highly recommend checking out TPD, because they cover some pretty interesting songs.

Here are some songs I found.

Shiny Days

Lady Boy

I edited my first post to include all the links, remove the wall of gibberish that I wrote and left a much simpler and clearer idea of what I wanted to create here.

As a bonus upside, it makes Al look like a tard Image

Also added the H!P link if the actual group was never anything to do with H!P - DLT, Osaka Performance dolls etc

Its sad that we have to make threads like this :( I remember when most of these artists were actually active. I would add some stuff here, but I still have all these in some physical format or on my hard drive, so I don't have any kind of YouTube links to contribute, and don't want to seek any out.

Aa! - Masayume (sung by Reina and she doesn't really use her cutesy voice)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjklPdBQ_to

Granted this is not quite as old as some of the other H!P acts posted above, but I didn't know this video existed. I'm not a huge Reina fan, but I really like how she sounds on the verses. Not as much on the choruses, but win some, lose some.

Speaking of Chisato Moritaka, Natsumi Abe did a cover of her song "The Stress."

Chisato Moritaka - The Stress

Nastumi Abe - The Stress

W covered a lot of stuff, too. The Peanuts, Pink Lady, and Betsy & Chris I know for sure.

W - Shiroi Iro wa Koibito no Iro

Betsy & Chris - Shiroi Iro wa Koibito no Iro

W - Southpaw

Pink Lady - Southpaw

W- Koi no Fuga

The Peanuts - Koi no Fuga

And something I've always enjoyed is hearing stuff by western groups that pop up in Hello! Project songs.

Tanpopo's "Otome Pasta ni Kandou" is probably one of my favorite songs just because of the very distinctive Brian May guitar riffs. I seem to remember reading that Tsunku citing Queen as a influence on him.

Then there's the weird breaks at the end of Morning Musume's "The Peace!" It's a lot like the weird breaks at the end of The B-52's "Channel Z." Of course, that could be a coincidence. But then there's Aisha de Loan that has a certain similarity with The Knack's "My Sharona."
