Except, she was busted as fuck when she auditioned.



Most importantly, they had 2 whole auditions devoted to creating a 7th gen and she was the only result of that entire time spent.



Morning Musume is the only reason she looks better, it was the idol makeover. I will admit that she became more attractive over the years, but she didn't have model potential from the start. Not saying that it's common for a preteen to have those qualities, but she had a lot against her.



I don't know if anyone has mentioned this already, but I think we really would have laughed this off if it was someone cooler. From the decade of being at this BBS, traditionally, we like the edgy girls, but it was just a disappointment that it was Koharu of all girls. If Miki said this, we would just say "LOL what a bitch", and it would be over. Even Rika, if we want to use someone who is drastically more body & beauty than ...bocals? Heck, Rika did say something about fans once (mic recorded, not from an interview) but she didn't get burned at the stake for it.

The interpretation of the transcript sounded to me like they were getting ready to antagonize Koharu-chan, with Sayumi trying to twist Koharu’s words about being glad to be on the show because the other girl had the flu.

Koharu: She's suffereing, but for ages I haven't been invited to be on YoungTown. For aaaages it's probably just been me [left out].



Here I think Sayumi is trying to make Koharu look bad by implying that Koharu is rejoicing in Mitsui’s illness. A lot of nasty people do this kind of passive-aggressive verbal judo with each other all the time.



Then Sayumi says:



Sayumi: You can understand why you haven't been invited.



Sanma: Yeah, the manager is like "This was really a casting failure."



Koharu: Seriously!? Should I calm down? I got it.



Here I think Sayumi is implying that Koharu hasn’t been on the show because she is no longer relevant after leaving Morning Musume.



I realize that this is after Koharu’s main negative rant, but perhaps things were said to her by Sayumi and/or Sanma before they went on the air, and this put Koharu into an antagonistic mode. Perhaps Koahru knows that the current Sayumi is really the stage persona.



So there is a Good Sayu and an Evil Sayu. You learn something new every day. Next you are going to tell me that Yoshizawa Hitomi was really just a good looking boy.

Intense H!P fans bring the best entertainment. This is something I've discovered. More so now because I've started to infiltrate the other boards and communities. It's very fascinating stuff. I almost feel like I'm one of those wild life film makers discovering a new breed of animal. Sometimes I want to poke it with a stick, but fear that I might wake a beast and I do hate confrontation. You can't reason with them. It's futile.



You like what you like and you hate what you hate. If you can't come together and respect each other in the end for your likes and dislikes, you need to find yourself a new hobby or a new place to chill.



I don't like Koharu, never have and never will. But I don't hate or judge people who do, I know that people don't like my favorites for their own reasons and that's cool with me. I'm not going to rant about it just for the sake of ranting about it.



There is nothing else coming out of this. Koharu is still in UF and she isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Let us let sleeping dogs lie and move onto something else. I would very much like to close this thread.
