Maybe you're talking about something different, but I think an ex-member accusing the management of some kind of prostitution is very relevant to the group.

Scandal or not, it doesn't belong in this thread. This is first and foremost a spam thread. Just like in the H!P spam thread, topics such as this deserve their own thread where you can discuss them at all length.

Yeahhhhh baby. I know I didn't like JKT in the beginning, but they really are great performers! I love all the songs on there too (minus Babyx3), so this is a must download for me. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Wow, I didn't think posting that would get people so riled up. Or, so to speak, I didn't think it would lead to a string of vitriolic victim blaming, but okay. This is the second time AEUG has accused me of trying to stir up hate against AKB, and I don't want to come across that way - I've been an AKB fan since the release of Skirt Hirari in 2006. I enjoy the group, but I also believe it has some very underhanded policies. Either way, I apologize for derailing the thread, I just thought it was an interesting news story worthy of discussion.

So much stuff happened in the latest episode, that I don't even know where to begin! D:

Mimori is now Mariko! [This was actually surprising to me, anyone else surprised?] and also in big news Mikako (the former Minami) is working with Chieri's father! And next week, seems like a showdown at the Akibastar.



Now I need to wait a week to find out what happens. This is why I hate watching televisions shows on their first run. I hate waiting!

I was super surprised as well. I really wish we could see a little more of her as her new self before we get straight to the fighting. Now I wonder how the Kanata and Takamina thing will end.

After 6 months of waiting, the release date for AKB48 member Minami Takahashi's solo debut has been set.





Takahashi will be releasing her first solo single, "Jane Doe", on April 3rd. The single will be used as the theme song of the drama series "Saki".





The new song will be a rock ballad written from a male point of view. It will discuss the feelings of being in love with a girl who messes with a guy's heart.





The new single will come in 3 different editions, Type A, B and C, each coming as a CD+DVD package. Every version will

include the title track, a common B-side track, and their music videos. A 3rd coupling track will be included and differs depending on which version of the single you purchase.

First - Takamina's Jane Doe. I like the song but I'm not so sure I like her voice in it. I like it though so it will probably grow on me.



Second - OMG in AKB0048 shits went down. Chieri's dad is a super creeper. Bye Yuko. I feel like the real Yuko would do that. The next episode looks kinda slow though so yea.

Takamin's voice isn't bad, at least she hold her notes, even though it sounds like she's singing like she's got a bad cold. That vibrato. xD



As for 0048, duuuuuuude! Chieri's dad is nuts. After what happened last week, they need an episode to regroup. Only 5 episodes left. There's just way too much crap going on to end this season. I hope there's another. D:

Well... AKB48 latest single got released a week ago, and the first week sales was a million, this is good for any other group, but alot lower than AKB48 itself.



I know that the december singles sell less because the members are picked by jankenpyon, so not all of the front are in the single, but this single was normal as far as I know, and it sold less than ue kara mariko and the chance something junbun...



Can someone give me a reason to why there is a decrease in sales? is AKB48 losing it's popularity?



and... I didn't really heard most of the recent songs, and they released alot... the last one I remember hearing was kaze ga fuiteiru and I think I heard UZA once... are any of the recent songs any good (including the last one which I didn't heard nor know his name).

Well.... about the popularity thing.

1. AKB48's main face Maeda Atsuko has graduated so some people have have lost interest.

2. AKB is everywhere so people may be a little tired of it.

3. They are supposedly in a rebuilding phase where they are trying to find a new face and get their lower generations more popular.

4. Some of the fans say the songs aren't as good as they used to be.



As for their songs since Kaze was fuiteiru.



1. Ue Kara Mariko - This is a song you need to watch the video with. It makes the song a lot better imo. Also some of the B-sides are really good.



2. Give Me Five - is a nice song and the girls learned to play instruments for it which was really cool. A lot of people liked the B-side NEW SHIP and it features a lot of younger girls.



3. Manatsu no Sounds Good - Their best selling song to date. Some people feel like there were way to many girls in the video which I kind of agree on. It's also Maeda's graduation single. The B-sides are pretty good. You should look into Choudai, Darling! it's sweet.



4. Gingham Check - The election single where the center was not a surprise at all. Mayuyu did overtake Yukirin and Sashihara got 4th. Another song that I think you should watch the video of cause it's just better with it. Also look up Nante Bohemian because it's just all sorts of awesome.



5. UZA - The cool single which was awesome as well. Mayu was supposed to be the center but she couldn't handle the dancing. Really you should look up all the videos cause they make the songs much better. Also look into it's B-sides. I recommend Kodoku na Hoshizora because it's very different and the video is beautiful.



6. Eien Pressure - The Janken single which some people feel was rigged. It's cute but if you don't really like it then again look at the B-sides because they are done by the other groups.

SKE - Tsuyogari Tokei

NMB - HA!

HKT - Hatsukoi Butterfly



7. So long! - The first Mayuyu center song. It's slow but still pretty. All the B-sides are worth looking at. Some people feel they are even better than the main song. This is the really first single of their new generation. As I said Mayuyu center also in the undergirls it has a double center with 2 up and coming girls.



Do look back into them.

Next weeks AKB0048 should be interesting. I like how the anime gave a nod to Miichan's status as a trainee.A none fan wouldn't have gotten that.



Also, with Sayaka Nakaya graduating, I wonder how that will effect this anime series?

There is only two episodes left of this season of AKB0048. shit went down this last episode, how the hell they are going to end it after two episodes I have no idea. There needs to be a third, no question in my mind, unless they can somehow manage to jam a whole lot of plot into two or three episodes (that's only saying if they plan to save one for DVD release or something.). There just is no way! Now how do you do that when three of your voice actresses left? Unless they are under a different contract? Anyone know?
