It never seems like he picks girls to replace past members, it's more a way to THROW OFF THE DYNAMIC of the current MM.

Sayumi shouldn't have been surprised by the audition, I wasn't surprised at all. I also think this will be a 2 girl generation.

Sayumi seems like she would stick closely to H!P after MM, so wait for her to get a serious Rika's Viyuden-like group debut, and then you may panic about the possibility of her graduation.

I adore Sakura, but I don't really see her as the next Ai-chan. She's more like the next Risa -- liked and respected, but not loved and idolized by the wotas. She'll always play second banana to the more popular members, like Riho, Ayumi, and eventually Haruka. I just hope she doesn't end up like my beloved LinLin.



Personally, I'd love to see Tasaki Asahi join Momusu. She meets the age requireement (17) and she obviously has looks, talent, and personality. Plus, she and Masaki could have piano-playing battles during concerts.

Sakura's the next Takahashi vocally. Outside of her I can't think of a single new girl who's getting notable lines that will ever even be anywhere near as good as Reina. If we have to have god-awful leads, I'd like at least to have some decent backup.



Why do people think Haruka is on her way to being a lead? She's been paired up with Kanon, Eripon, and Haruna the last four or five singles choreo and line-wise. She may be popular, but musically UFP obviously considers her bottom-barrel.

Jang DaYeon? Disappeared after the S/mileage auditions. When asked about it on twitter, she said it was complicated. The fact that she also has a twitter makes me think she's not with the company anymore, because I don't think she'd be allowed one. She'll be 18 later this year. I think she's out of the H!P game. And Momusu is probably done with foreign girls after JunLin.

I don't agree. I think Sakura's voice is more like Risa's, and I also think Takahashi was a better singer at 15.

Meh. Too soon and unnecessary. It's like a bad decision by the upper management still mentally stuck in 13 years ago. "We hit weekly #1 and the group got some recognition again, so how to best milk it? I know, let's make an audition, those are always SO popular!". They have a great group dynamic right now, they have replacements for the recent and upcoming graduations down, Sakura is doing great but still barely settled down, and I really don't want them to fuck this goodness up.

I don't think probable and Morning Musume/H!P can ever exist, plus JunJun & LinLin were the best case scenario. They have done way worse with local girls.

It took years for Takahashi to gain her place in Morning Musume history. Same with Sayumi. So many members before them had to leave before they finally got their spotlight.



I think one single released before the next generation comes in will be good for this Morning Musume. To showcase the group without Reina. It takes like 4-5 months to finish auditions. Depending on circumstances. That's how long they usually have between single releases these days. So we should probably see the winner at a fall Morning Musume concert or the end of the summer Hello!Project concert. Unless of course UF is all like, we're done with being predictable, screw the normal timeline of events!

I don't really think new auditions are about finding someone to replace a specific person, they're about replenishing numbers and to fill in a general "thing" that's missing.



Eri, JunJun, LinLin leave -> Add 4 new people. Make sure they're young because the group is getting old. Make sure they're energetic and have some personality because we want to leave behind the emo!musume image.



Takahashi leaves, Risa grad impending -> Add 4 more people! Make sure they're also young, but not quite as young because we gotta bridge that awkward age gap. Go for personality, we're still trying to be young and hip!



Reina grad impending -> Add one more girl! We've got good numbers now but we graduated all of the good singers and forgot to get some new ones in the last few auditions.



So basically Sakura is not "the new Takahashi/Risa/Reina" she's "the new good singer."



What hole they're looking to plug with this audition... I have no idea. But I do think it's going to be soon followed by a graduation announcement, that's how UFA rolls. Maybe Sayumi and Mizuki will graduate together to form Robo-W. And then Eripon would be leader for 5 days until they decide they haven't made any truly crazy decisions in a while and throw Aika back in as the Neo-8th generation leader. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ek3run.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':eekrun:' />

Yeah, but she said herself in an interview around that time that she would rather be a soloist, or in a new group. Of course she still auditioned, but she wasn't gungho about getting in.

I doubt they would let her upload dances on a seperate non-Mususme channel and plus with all the videos already there who knows they might ask her to delete them. I kind of like her as a Youtuber more but if she got in I'd be all for it.

Okai does dance covers so I think if the demand was high, Cuca would continue to. Although not as frequently. We can only hope for a solo Cuca dance DVD. Also they will delete her YouTube. That's a given. If her YouTube channel suddenly is gone, that's a good sign!
