You know, the PVs really have improved recently, and I love seeing the dance shots before the regular PV, but I think that order results in the main PV being a bit of a letdown.

I bet when the full Kimi Sae PV is up we will see more of them. Hopefully. But I won't be surprised when they have two PVs and manage to shaft a bunch of girls for screen time.

What's not to like about this PV?!?



It's seriously one of the best Morning Musume videos to ever come out. There's more than one camera angle for the dance - and some of the shots they took the time to get are incredibly creative (Sakura's second big line after Haruna). The close-ups are wonderful and everyone looks incredible. Zukki is actually wearing a relatively flattering outfit for the first time since Maji Desu Ka Ska!. There are no distracting "effects" cluttering ANY shot nor is there any cheesy "CGI" being used (I seriously don't understand how the Help Me! PV fared better than this with you all).



Everything here is perfect.

Can't wait for the Kimi Sae video.

This PV was good, but a bit of a disappointment considering the last few graduation PVs have been really interesting. Risa got a very personal PV, Ai got a fancy sparkly PV, and Reina gets...this? The song is amazing, why couldn't the PV match it?

This was the first time I've heard the song.

Sounds like the other one, doesn't interest me at all and it's mostly throw-away material imho. Some parts of it are ok, however. Unfortunately the better parts are still really simple and horribly uncreative.



Though the MV seems somewhat more interesting, it's still not worth watching a second time.

Y'know, I can respect the Kimi Sae PV with the dance mentality the group is pushing lately. Compared to the Brainstorming, which tried to make a traditional PV with the close-ups and other shots, this one is about the dance and formations by an abundance of angle variety. On the other hand, Brainstorming is much more visually appealing. The set is much more dynamic and the outfits work. It's just a push between the PVs.



Kimi Sae has grown on me a little, but I'm still not totally feeling it.

I don't remember saying this, but the new sound (maybe save parts of Kimi Sae) is kind of how an old-school pop producer would make electronic music. Kind of like Glass no Pumps, SOME BOYS! TOUCH, or Thanks. Reminds me of Ayu's You & Me in concept. It's a modern-ish dance song, but it's by Tetsuya Komuro, so it's got this 90's idea of electronic music and it's got a weird mesh. Old dog, new tricks.

This is MUCH better than what we got with The Matenrou Show, LOL. New outfits, a new back drop, AND dynamic camera angles? Someone other than Riho and Reina singing? By UFP standards, they're spoiling us.

This song has grown on me a lotttt. The first time I heard it, I was almost appalled by how BORING it turned after the intro - I was hoping for them to actually attempt a club banger sound. But for the past couple days, I've had it on repeat, so they must be doing something right.

Watching the full PV for Kimi Sae was only my second time hearing the song and I... love it. I have no idea what drug Tsunku put in the song, but the first time I hated it, didn't bother caring about any news about it, and then out of nowhere with this second listen I'm practically in love.

I know, right? I'm not sure I would go so far as to say I love it yet, but I definitely like it a lot better. I still hate the outfits, they're horribly mismatched to the song. I'm not really fond of the PV either. The backlight is way too bright and ridiculous. If a full on dance shot PV works for any song it's this one, but I would have like to see a few individual shots of the girls in a club setting. Even if they were just standing there. But the dance is awesome, the song is pretty good, so overall I think this is a pretty solid single.

I really like the 'whoah whoah' parts. They are cool. The dance and the song is even pretty good. The PV's a basic bitch but it's definitely not the worst.



The worst is not seeing Zukki or Eripon enough tbh. I know it took YEARS for 5th gen minus-Takahashi (apart from Mr Moonlight before any smartass points that out) to be noticed though so I am hoping that Zukki and Eripon get lines soon. Even just a half line, or even just a close up, just something!

Dude, I'm with Nesh and TnB. It isn't groundbreaking but the non-static dance shots and lack of horrendous sparkle editing are a total step up. Plus, non-hideous outfits!

Agreed. When Resonant Blue came out I figured "Finally! Now we're coming back for you, AKB" because the song was good, the dance was good, and the PV might be simplistic compared to other big-budget acts, but it was still one of the better Momusu PVs. I hesitate to be like "you damn kids don't know how good you have it." but I kind of feel this way anyway with regards to both new PVs. It's been said, but back even in the "platinum era" we didn't get (as many) multiple angles of the dance shots. I mean, if you really wanna bitch about these two PVs you need to go back and look at Ambitious! Yashinteki de ii jan! or one of the other PVs from around that time.

I feel like the above can also qualify for people who bitched about Takahashi and Tanaka always being the lead; Morning musume has been this way from its inception. Just look at Furusato, which was basically Nacchi and the Momusu backup singers. There has always been a lead, an ace, and your favorite girl will almost always be pushed in the back as a result. I remember loving Sayu for years but she never got many lines back in the day and most people hated her because she couldn't hold a note to save her life, but she was cute. She still had fans though, and we wept. (haha, maybe that's a little dramatic)



Anyway, this is NOT the worst PV ever or even close to it. There's no ridiculous-looking CG, the dance is nowhere near being the worst, and the song is actually pretty good. Maybe it's a result of inexperience or just not knowing any better, but I kind of feel like some of you are being a little bit dramatic when it comes to this one. I'm sorry about everyone's favorites being in the back though, because I was a Konno fan and I have decided because of this single that I am now an Ishida fan as well, and they're not exactly leads.

... what? I'm not seeing anyone here straight-up say this is the overall worst. All I said was that it was boring, but there have definitely been worse PVs. I just feel like that it deserved a teensy bit more than what came out of it, is all.
