Sooooo AKB48's new single will have a voting ticket for their 5th senbatsu election. These people will be included:

AKB/SKE/NMB/HKT members (but only up to 3/31)
Overseas members (Sae/Akicha/Mariya/Haruka)
GRADUATES who have been in the 48 groups for 4 years. *Eligibile Graduated Members are Nakaya, Masuda, Sato N, Maeda, Yonezawa, Hirajima, Oku, Ono, Sato Yukari, Urano, Kohara, Ohori, Noro, Hirata Rikako.

Exciting!! I am going to vote for Yuka and Sayaka this year I guess.

Nakayan and Moeno, they are both graduating soon though.

Also Tomomi Kasai and Tomomi Itano both did, they are leaving soon as well.

Graduated members, Yuka said no, Erena said no, Rumi said no, Norokayo said YES and so did Yukari Sato. :) I'm probably going to slip one of my votes to Noro <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wub:' />

Yoooeh get it Sasshi. Love that girl. Every time I feel like I want to stop liking the 48 family something good happens. The concert was pretty good, the parts I saw of it anyway. Namida no Shounan unit was so cool. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wub:' /> It's so hard to keep up with them considering just the amount of releases though, it's so much, it's a ton, sometimes I think it's actually too much, and I am surprised there's no 'AKB big brother' style show where they just film them all the time and sell the entire year boxset for 1000000000000000000000000000000000000 yen.

Still, it's always interesting.

I'm glad I'm not really in this fandom anymore. I still love certain girls and their songs, but there's always so much going on and so many new people I got tired of having to keep up.

I don't keep up hey. I know AKB and a decent amount of SKE but I know about 10 NMB girls and probably about the same amount of HKT girls. There's literally thousands of songs at this point. I've stopped trying to 'collect' all the releases because it's physically impossible for a poor student.

I feel like AKB are about to settle into that Morning Musume circa-5th gen downward slide. I give it another year before sales start to be affected pretty negatively - a lot of Japanese people I've spoken to say they've gotten quite bored/sick of AKB, especially since Acchan left. Last time I looked at their sales figures they were still going strong but I feel like the music has kind of declined - I love the group, but between so many original members (POPULAR members) leaving and every single lately sounding almost exactly the same, my interest is dwindling fast.

Besides, I'm sorry but my heart still aches from the loss of Yuka.

Matsubara Natsumi announced her graduation. This, plus the fact Sayaka is leaving, makes my heart hurt. Yuka and N Nacchi were both a huge loss as well!

I feel like all signs point to most old fans abandoning the fandom, leaving the new gen fans to fend for themselves. The new gen fans have no idea what it was like to see their group succeed as their oshis gain fame easily. (Paruru, anyone?)I honestly think most of the new girls are cute, but are missing that essential spark in an idol - PERSONALITY! Kato Rena is a perfect example of this, I love her so much, but she's very reserved and doesn't go out of her way to try to be an entertaining idol.

I told myself I'd start following AKB again when they released new stages.

It has been 3 years and still hasn't happened. And now everyone I pretty much know/cared about is gone/leaving.

I want someone in Japan to do a news story about what happens to all the idol CDs, mainly these election day ones, after they get their tickets or whatever. I don't think it would be pretty.

I'd like to think that BookOff and other CD re-sellers must be jammed with them. This new AKB single as gotten 1,551,074 in only two days. I can only imagine the stock pile the stores will get after this.
