For anyone interested, here's the majestic Otona no Tochuu Radio Rip.
Never thought I'd say this, but S/mileage did a significantly better job live. The song is still amazing, though! <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Re: Smileage: ② Smile Sensation
Agreed...The concert version is much better, this one is too high-pitched and the girls are using unnecessary cutesy voices.

Re: Smileage: ② Smile Sensation
Not to mention that Meimi's normally powerful vocals weren't utilized at all. Her line before the final chorus was probably the biggest letdown for me in comparison to the live.
Re: Smileage: ② Smile Sensation
Yeah, I was worrying about how Meimi would sound because I knew that Otona no Tochuu was recorded a while ago, before she started consistently singing less cutesy and more powerfully. But I still love it.

Re: Smileage: ② Smile Sensation
I'm really loving this album. I 've had the new songs on repeat for 3 days. And Kanyon and Ayacho's voices have gotten better and their ballad "Sayonara Sayonara Sayonara" sounds great! (Remember Gakkyuu Iinchou?) And it's definitely not just the fact that they have different members. All the songs are great and shows a whole bunch of S/mileage's different sides.
Edit: Whoops the ballad is Watashi no Kokoro!!

Sayonarax3 is easily one of my favorite tracks. I'm really surprised that Tsunku put out such an all around solid album for them.

Re: Smileage: ② Smile Sensation
I was surprised by how solid this album was, too. I haven't been impressed by H!P albums for a while now, but I really enjoyed this one! I would probably listen to it again if I still consistently listened to Jpop. S/mileage has been consistently getting my attention since the 2nd generation member's debut. I honestly thought I wouldn't like this group at all, especially with the new additions. I thought they all just looked like awkward, little girls. Kanon was one of my favorite eggs, though, so I continued to give this group a chance.
Almost all of these songs, I feel like they may have gone to past H!P groups originally... Tenshinranman was the only song I wasn't sure who I would give it to.
Shin Nippon no Susume - Minimoni.
Watashi no Kokoro - Ayaya... or Sakuragumi.
Nee Senpai - early Berryz
Sayonara Sayonara Sayonara - GAM
Yuugure Koi no Jikan - 2nd gen. Tanpopo
Otona no Tochuu - W
Really, the only songs I didn't listen to until the end was Nee Senpai, and I still didn't mind the song. It was just too much techno sound. Sayonara ended too soon, though. I was literally expecting it to replay the chorus one last time. But really, this is a well rounded album that doesn't have just one sound, and the girls all do a fantastic job on all the tracks.

Re: Smileage: ② Smile Sensation
My CD of this arrived today, but then I remembered I hadn't yet listened to You Kikkawa's new album which arrived a week or so ago, so I'm listening to that first (right now--and I'm enjoying it), but I'm really psyched for the S/mileage album, esp. since I recently watched their latest concert DVD and enjoyed that a great deal (my review of it is up on my blog).
