I think we had a similar discussion not long ago over Tsunku's comments about one of the recent singles. He really did come out as full of fatherly love for the girls, in a genuine, non-creepy way.

I'm really enjoying Wota in Translation's stuff these days. It's incredibly interesting that so many in the thread listen to Western music and praise it for its originality. Though I'd definitely say anything before the 90s (mostly before the 00s though) was pretty good though.


I have to admit, the moment Nicki Minaj came on the scene, I started vehemently ignoring American music at least, so I know nooothing about anyone post-Minaj. Is she gone yet?

No, but like every big female name in American pop is either getting ready to release a new album or is in the studio (Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, ect.).

This! I hate when people say a girl can't sing when all they really need is time and training. Just cause you don't like a person's voice doesn't mean they can't sing.

She's getting better, but she still sounded pretty bad.   And I actually like her voice a lot. ^ Btw, you're quoting a guy who hates on Riho and says she can't sing all the time, even though she definitely can (compared to people like Eripon). I really hate it when people complain about one girl's singing all the time and then turn around and praise someone who is a thousand times worse.

This is why I was impressed with her. The last time I heard her solo, I couldn't even listen to the whole thing. Granted her sense of pitch still isn't perfect, but she is tons better than she was in her last live event. I actually went into the group songs not knowing what to expect, too. Sakura has been hit or miss for me. Give her the right song and her "man voice" sounds good (Gatamekira), but some of the other songs I've heard her in was like  . Here, she sounded really consistent, though. Haruna is Haruna. Her sense of rhythm has improved a lot, but I still think she sounds the same. I wouldn't mind seeing her perform a Kirarin song to see how she does.

I think she's (Eripon) got pretty good stamina, which always surprises me because she doesn't sing much in the singles.


I was joking about Haruna. I love her voice but that is really the only good thing I can say about her singing.

I agree Eripon has improved a lot, which tbh was a necessity as some of her more recent performances have been train wrecks.
 
Sakura still needs to improve on singing delicately, she is great at the powerful stuff but she lacks a soft touch. She's like the complete opposite of Karin who needs to work on her power.

The release date is set for 08/28 and besides that there’s not much else known. The H!P summer concert starts on 07/27 so a LQ concert preview will probably pop up around then, hopefully they will be performing the single and I’m looking forward to checking it out.

I have to say, she impressed me with this. She is breathless in some parts, but she sings and dances a whole group song really well!


Has she said anything about the MM auditions? No news is good news, right?

She might have said something about it on her blog, but I haven't checked it in awhile.

I highly doubt youre going to find updates on Cuca's auditon status unless she doesn't make it. She would get kicked out of the auditions, just like the one during the ninth gen audition was.
