I don't know what you guys are talking about. I got at least one of my favorites in the 9th, 10th, and the 11th gen auditions. There's no way my streak can be broken now.

Don't jinx it! If you say that, Tsunku the troll will purposely not let Rikako in. Sometimes I swear he monitors the boards.

So true. Somehow, Tsunku knows we're talking about. He might have a spy!
No, he just picks the girl(s) who fit his requirements for that audition. I hope Rikako or Kaede gets in.

Meru's not a loss. She sucked and she wasn't well received by fans during the audition. Just because auditioners go on to be popular in 48 groups doesn't mean they would have been popular in H!P.
[/quote]
Of course not, but I get this feeling like Aki-P took her and turned her into a star just to be a bit "in your face" to Tsunku lol
It all depends actually on where you place the girl. If you make her the front of the group, people will get to know her more than those at the back and Meru is doing just fine on her own with handshake events and such.
Umeda Ayaka also participated in a Morning Musume audition and she's not so mighty (although being in the top 20 is something!). Kashiwagi Yuki is another "missed star" in H!P, nº4 now in AKB. I just think it's funny how girls go from one audition to another and then make it big/or not. Makes you wonder how they would have done if the other path had been possible (ala Koda Kumi in MM lol).
Morning Musume doesn't have those, but I think people might turn back to see Rikako, even if they don't let her talk about her Acchan/Yuko resemblance.

I want to see the girls at the camp dance to Ai no Gundan. I think it is just difficult enough to show if they can move in formation, but not too difficult as far as actual moves go.

Yeah I think this song would be great because it will show which girls can dance in a group, not just dance.

In the twitter thing Tsunku said that the canidates have really good potential (or chemistry). I'm guessing that at least 1 person will get chosen. And if not, I think Tsunku learned from the horrid Koharu Mistake.

I like her much more now that she's gone, but no. Another Koharu will ruin my fandom. The whole "fool me twice" thing applies here, Tsunku.

I wouldn't go that far. I say give her till she gets into high school. I'm sure by then she will have grown up more.

Koharu's blog is pretty good, no shame.

Re: 12th generation "Mirai Shoujo" Audition
I doubt masaki will be Koharu part 2. She may not be the most vocally talented but she seems like she cares about improving. She was upset when reina graduated. And if this was Koharu, then she probably would've been a bit happy.
And as for her personality. Give her some time. She isn't actually childish all the time.
I watched an interview from wakuteka days with her and she was being well behaved (and Duu wasn't even there)
But, if she doesn't ever really mature, then whatever. Masaki is Masaki.

This surprisingly makes a lot of sense for me personally.
But from what it seems Masaki doesn't have such an obnoxious personality.

Re: 12th generation "Mirai Shoujo" Audition
But Masaki is one of the more vocally talented members, she has good pitch. I think some people just don't like her voice cause it's cuter and not deeper ala Sakura.
Her voice sounds great in their last B-side (Itsumo Onaji Seifuku).
I would say vocally she's 4th best in the group. The main singles are more suited towards voices like Reina and Sakura. No not Riho even...

Re: 12th generation "Mirai Shoujo" Audition
Masaki is more Tsuji/Kago 2.0 rolled into one person. She's obnoxious in the childish sense that she can eventually grow out of it given time and the right push from management.
Overall the worst idol investment was Aika. As much as I like her, she never stood out, never push herself to stand out and just stayed in the background. She was weak physically and ended up needing to graduate for that reason. I will always be of mind that she was placed in the group as a background for JunJun and LinLin and that conspiracy theory is never going to leave me.
I doubt Rikako will even be considered for Morning Musume, she has that Karin quality to her. She's popular, but too Musume popular. If any of the K!eggs get in,it's not going to be one of the popular ones. It's going to be one we least expect. UF is saving the goods ones for the next K!Egg group. If you stuck all your popular trainees into an already popular group, you'd have a very boring new group, wouldn't you?

You have a good point with Rikako. Sakura wasn't popular in her Egg days, then BAM, she was placed in Morning Musume, beating out a somewhat popular Egg, Ayano.
With Up Front, you never know, they could add Rikako or add some random girl we never saw in our life. I'm hoping we get some girl who can sing.

Re: 12th generation "Mirai Shoujo" Audition
The thing that they contacted Rikako just top put her in the Eggs without audition or anything kind of self-explains they have plans for her.
But why risk putting an already famous face in a group that might not be as succesful?

Re: 12th generation "Mirai Shoujo" Audition
She didn't join by the standard audition format, so how would she have entered kenshuusei?
1. private audition
2. she/her agency/her manager asked to join
3. she was contacted & pulled from her previous group
Do they allow people to ask/join as long as they pay? I kind of assumed all additions to kenshuusei were through auditions and Rikako was the exception somehow.

Also the 16th gen(Yumeno, Maria, Sakurako, Tomoko, Kaede) were given the offer after failing the 11th gen audition(with the exception of Tomoko). I think anyway.

Re: 12th generation "Mirai Shoujo" Audition
Rikako actually made it to the third round of a MM audition before getting cut, and it's most likely 11th gen given her age.

Oh, then that makes sense. Just based on the kenshuusei thread it seemed like she just appeared out of nowhere (ie. no audition).
