That's the big downside of it being on Youtube. Even with the individual videos, a lot of people wouldn't watch if they didn't know who it was or weren't a fan of that girl in general.

Well, Youtube does promote things on the front page, so maybe MM is/will be big enough to have videos like that on Japan's front page?
 
I know the only reason I knew Miley Cyrus released a new song is because Youtube's plastered it in a prime spot on the homepage. Hopefully people will be curious enough to click.

Kanon also had an article written about her that linked to her video that had a lot of views, iirc. Some of the people watching hers might not even know the group.

Being on YouTube isn't really a disadvantage - there was an article recently interviewing one of the head honchos at UFA and he mentioned that most of the girls at auditions said they learn about MM and listen to their music through YouTube. I actually think H!P is pretty forward thinking in this regard. If they wanted to pull in more older fans they'd have to go through TV, but more young people tend to watch stuff online now. Plus it's a lot easier for people to share these. I'm sure they're banking on people sharing the links on twitter and facebook. And like showraniy said, the links may get promoted on the front page or at the very least show up in people's recommended videos if they're already watching other idol content.

Yeah, I was surprised to see Mizuki got shafted, but I guess she must've not have gotten that much publicity or something, compared to Zukki.
