This is normal for Japanese culture to poke fun at people. To add H!P examples; Remember Utaban with Kei and Kaori? Or Music Japan with Sayumi constantly at heads with the one host? Sayumi made her character on varierty shows to do just that -- butt heads and poke fun at them that she was the cutest. I don't think Oha Star would be any different from those situation. This entire thing is being blown out of proportion. It really didn't seem as bad as everyone keeps making it out to be, as always. 
 
Foreign fans don't realize how different Asian cultures act in regards normal things of their own culture. For one, everytime I'm near a Japanese tourist, they are constantly taking pictures EVERYWHERE. I was eating in McD's, and the girl took a picture of her guy in front of the McD sign. Was there anything saying the location? Nope. Just a McD sign. My husband thought it was batshit weird, but hey, you know, that's normal for them.

Only things knowns is that Rock no Teigi and SATOYAMA/SATOUMI is on it
 
So I assume that means Lady Mermaid, Kaigan Danshi Seisou, Eiya-sa! Brother, Cabbage Hakusho ~Haru-hen~, Tokainaka no Kare, and Hotaru Matsuri no Hi is prolly going to be on it too

I probably should have mentioned it here too, I guess. How long are the Pucchi Best albums? 12 tracks? I think they're probably going to be selective about which Satoyama/umi tracks they put it on it since they would be like half the album. Peaberry's song will almost definitely be there, but I don't know which of the other ones they'll pick.

Well PB 13 had 16 tracks and PB 12 had 17....I kind of though of what could be included and I ended up with 16

The tracklist for the DVD says it has the MV, Another Version, a karaoke version (I guess one of the videos with a different audio track?) and the making of.  That said, it's only a little bit more complicated to pull out the .ts video and extract the audio from that.

Alternatively, open Audacity, set recording device as stereo mix, record the MV as it plays and save it when done.

Is it an actual critique or a "oh this part is prettty"?

I'm not sure. Dawa is an art student so it's probably not just 'this is pretty'. It's probably more an examination than a critique because she does pick the paintings herself.

It starts off with a biography of the artist and then tells about her experiences viewing his work. Stuff like "The first time I saw this painting was at the such and such exhibit. It was so pretty and it made me have these feelings." Then she talks about the "content" of the painting. Oh this lady is pretty! I She seems older than me because she seems mature but actually apparently we're the same age. She speculates what the letter the woman is writing would have been about and talks about how people don't write letters these days.


I got bored and stopped reading there, but it goes on for a while. It looks to be more in depth than just "This painting is neat!" but not quite a full on academic critique.

Mad props to Dawa. I had to do crap like this in college and I hated it sometimes.. Some paintings just sucked to talk about, especially a lot of modern art. It wasn't as deep and philosophical sometimes, it was basically, "Dude was tripping something fierce, or it's a bunch of lines, what the hell else you want me to talk about?" Though I admit, I still miss my free pass into the art museums. Those were some good times.

This was my Art History class in a nutshell. They asked me to interpret a painting of literally a single dot.
 
"What was the painter thinking when he painted this painting?"
 
I'm sure it was something along the lines of "This'll make me rich, I just have to call it 'modern' art and a bunch of brainless 'critics' will laud it for being a psychological masterpiece!"

I STILL RAGE ABOUT THAT PAINTING. It was a series btw, if we're thinking of the same one (which, I really don't know how we could not, but still). So yes, four canvases with a dot you say for $1 bazillion?! I'll take it!
 
I saw that while taking Saturday art classes at a local college when I was in high school, and I think that made me give up on art. I still hate those "paintings" to this day, man.
 
Anyway, props to Ayaka. This doesn't seem like a very idol-y topic, so I'm hoping she's actually that interested in what she's doing. Go, girl, go.
