The general idea is that Berryz never made any breakthrough, like C-ute did. Their fans are loyal though, as seen from consistent sales figures. I like to listen to their songs at first, but never listen to them on repeat. There are always certain things that they lack that I can't really point out, even though I really love Miyabi and normal Momo.
Actually, I would blame their songs, or the person who gives them their song. Even if I try to imagine them wearing sexy clothes like C-ute and dance like C-ute, their song will still not become any more enjoyable.

C-ute may have gotten a bit more popular but I wouldn't say it's a breakthrough. Mainstream-wise, they're hardly any more relevant than Berryz.

* I agree. Out of all the current groups only MoMusu has had a real breakthrough. In fact I have a feeling they could be headed for their 2nd breakthrough if they and UFP keep up the hard work and determination. Also I believe that if Juice=Juice can keep their levels of public interest up I'm sure they'll be headed for a breakthrough in the not too distant future.

C-ute is light years ahead of Berryz in popularity, sales, public awareness and promotion. Berryz is Momochi.
 
I like Berryz too, but don't pretend they're anything but a dead end now.

^ C-ute aren't that popular but they're just that little bit more relevant than Berryz. C-ute might rake in about double the single sales, promotion and public awareness that Berryz do but Berryz still managed to fill Budokan within minutes just like C-ute so I wouldn't be so doubtful of Berryz. The only thing that C-ute has light years more than Berryz is spirit. Berryz might work hard but their facial expressions and overall performances don't exactly showcase any spirit. At least not anymore. C-ute showcase a lot more spirit and passion.

The general sale tickets were sold out, meaning they probably went to a whole bunch of resellers. Or however concert tickets work in Japan.

Thats good. When I saw the 5832 copies I thought it said 58,532 for a second and was totally freaking out. But 5832 is still a good number. This single seems to be one of the stronger singles for Berryz.

The probably did that today - they ranked 12 and not 21.

I'm shocked. I guess that new advertising firm HP is using is pretty amazing across the board, since I thought this was a lackluster single that would continue their usual sales trend.

The single before that also broke the berryz record for best selling week, it sold about 31K, but didn't manage to be the best selling, it sold about 36.5K total...
 
But yes, it seem's that H!P and UFA are on a roll right now.

These are Berryz highest first week sales and they only need to sell 146 more copies and this will be their highest selling single of all time
