She looks too slim wearing black and then having her edges all lit up from behind like that. And her shape isn't at all flattered from that angle, so it makes her butt look weird...

Yeah, Sayu is gorgeous, and I really want to say I love that picture, but my immediate thought just now was "no."
 
She looks kinda anorexic. I know she's naturally thin, but that angle just makes her look weird.
 
I've seen even more curvier pictures of Sayu before, though, lol, and they looked much better

Wow, I'd never seen that before. Maiha looks absolutely radiant there--and gloriously happy, something I'd never seen in any of her earlier performances. Of the others only Momoko is dry-eyed. As to be expected. Incredibly cute costumes, too.
 
What concert was this from? Is it on DVD? I don't have any concert DVDs from Berryz before 2006. I need to fill in that gap in my collection.

Well, thanks to you, Shoujo Q, I bought this concert from CDJapan  and watched it.

 
What a great show. The girls are really incredible at that age. Their adolescent energy is just off the chart. Momoko, Miyabi and Maasa are fully formed already. Saki, Risako, Chinami and Yurina still have some changes to go through, Saki and Risako most of all. Saki is so emphatic when she addresses the audience during the MC segments. Like she's afraid they won't hear or understand her or even pay attention to her. The lead girls are Momoko, Miyabi and Risako, although Yurina is right behind them.
 
It's amazing to watch them back then from this perspective, 8 years later. I was already a fan of H!P when they did this concert, but not yet attuned to the H!P Kids. This concert was completely off my radar.
 
Maiha is low-key throughout. This is the most I've seen of her--ever! But she kind of stays in the background. And, like I noticed in the earlier post, she seems very happy to be leaving. I don't think her heart was ever in it, the way the other girls were.
 
But this concert IS a classic.
