I was at the gym today listening to my iPod while peddling away on the exercise bike, when a Morning Musume song from the 4^th album came on. It was a wonderful song and I got really pumped up and started peddling furiously. It was the first time I’d heard this song in isolation, i.e. not on a listen of the whole album or as part of a concert. I liked it so much I listened to it again and kept peddling away. I’ve always known I liked this song and consider it one of the reasons the 4^th album (“Ikimasshoi”) is my favorite MM album, but I couldn’t remember the name of it. And the title is, of course, in Japanese on the iPod directory. 
 
So when I got home I looked it up and it was “Honki de Atsui Theme Song.” Was it in any concerts? Yes, but only four. Two in 2002, one in 2006, and then performed by Ongaku Gatas in 2008 at their concert. So that’s only three concert performances of this song by MM. And it’s such a great song. And I did know the name of it at one time, since I discuss the performance of it in my CDJapan review of the Love is Alive Spring 2002 concert.
 
Why hasn’t it been performed by MM in the last seven years? It seems like it would be a natural for the current lineup. How does a fan make this happen?

I would pay 500$ for that signed mug, or the picture frame.  I wonder if I can bid/buy from Canada?  I doubt it though...

I second this... Quite a few of my favorite songs. Also, how old is Mizuki again? Is Some Boys even appropriate? (Or is that the one that Chisato also did...?)

^ Seventeen. Chisato did sing it (at the 2011 H!P summer concert). I think she was seventeen at the time as well. 
 
And that setlist does look great. It's a bit longer than the usual birthday event setlist.

That Do it now! performance is horrible...But you can never go wrong with Mizuki, she really saved the performance.
 
Baby Meimi looks JUST like Meimi o_O Wow! Soooooo adorable!
But I hope she chooses better songs for her birthday setlist.

Seriously though, I didn't see that coming but I find it absolutely adorable that Chisa loves MaiMai. They both tie as my #1 current idols too so I find that a really awesome coincidence. ChisaMai needs to become a real thing.
