If all they wanted was a good singer, they might as well throw Ruru in and be done with it. She'd probably end up like Sakura and have the wota think she's unattractive but at least we'd have two good singers in the group.

They need 2 or 3 non-Kenshuusei girls 13-15 years old who can dance well (obviously), and singing-wise they don't need to be fantastic, just be able to blend well and hit the notes.  There are enough girls for power lines and good solos, but we need chorus girls essentially.  I've been ready for Sayumi to graduate for a while, but a year or two after she leaves I want a couple of girls to graduate and form another group, à la W.

I'm not crazy about the idea of a 12th generation yet and I really am not ready for Sayu to leave yet. If we actually get a 12th gen this time though I'm hoping for Ruru and one or two new girls.

I don't know why some of you are upset, because having new members entering is kind of MM's thing. They had new members entering when they were gaining popularity the first time too, so it's not like it's going to be detrimental. Plus they won't even be around till next year.

I'm hoping for a 2 girls generation. Rikako, as a good dancer, could fit well I think..

Even if I could convince my grandma to let me audition, I can't get to Tokyo and I'm in a relationship....so yeah.

Also, maybe he is looking into girls from overseas. I know the girls not joining until 2015 is probably for the name change, but it could also be so any girls from overseas can learn to at least communicate in Japanese before they actually join.

From everything I have read about JunJun's & LinLin's "graduation" (read that as "fired" or "terminated") ~ Tsunku was protesting China's non-enforcement of their copy-write treaty with Japan.  I think nationality will mater, but then, there once was Coconuts Musume, so , you never know.
 
Maybe Up Front will throw caution to the wind and hire ~~~ an Okinawan?

I feel like it'll be okay as long as it was a foreigner raised in Japan, or a halfie. I just don't want another repeat of Coconuts. AKB has had several halfies and even one full white girl (who was raised in Japan) so I think it would actually be cool if they had a half girl.

If they're raised in Japan though, that probably means they are Japanese nationality wise... Even if they are not, they have a choice to become one.

Regardless, all nationalities just gives them a chance to get Japanese girls who might not have been raised in Japan. I'd be surprised as hell if they added someone of a different ethnicity.

I've just always heard that her grandfather is French Canadian. Looking further into it not sure if it's real or not, I don't think it's a 'joke' though and more a rumor? It's never been confirmed or denied, and apparently Yaguchi once said something about it.

If you want a good dancer, one of the best in Kenshuusei is Inaba Manaka, even Tsunku and the other Kenshuusei agree. I hope she gets in because she's really cute.

OK - you guys are right. They could be recruiting ethnic Japanese that live overseas.
Eric and Andy from Shinhwa are Korean Americans and they were recruited in the States. But as part of the deal, they had to give up their US citizenship. Not sure if Japan would be that harsh...if they were, I'm not sure a lot of people would be willing to do it since MM doesn't guarantee a career after the group.

Maybe that's why Pandas had to leave after the 4 years?..

I see some of the girls who participated in the previous 12th gen audition promoted to MM.
- Oura Hirona is GOOOOOOOOOOOOORGEOUS!
- Funaki Musubu is cute as a button!!! <3
- Yokogawa Yumei and Niinuma Kisora have an elegant and mature beauty.
 
So I'd be content with any of those going in.
But I'd rather have Hirona + Rikako + a new girl.
 
The fact that they are not coming in until 2015 is understandable.
The whole "name change" would useless if they were like "oh, I was in half of MM14 and all of 15 and 16". If they change the line-up only at the end/beginning of the year, it makes sense.
I hope this means Sayu will stay until the end of 2015. :_(
 
And yes, I totally forgot about the 2nd gen being a 3-nin one lol
I don't count the 8th as such... JunLin were more line 8.5 to me, and since it took them a while to speak Japanese, I doubt Aika would consider them as her peers. :/
