Do you guys think it's acceptable to cut out some announcements in posts when translating? Sometimes when I translate a post it will have an announcement for a TV show or a concert tour that isn't really relevant to the overseas fans or the actual blog entry itself. Is it okay to just skip those? I honestly hate translating them

They tend to be pretty similar to each other, so once you translate one you can usually use that as a base of sorts.  I don't know if your problem with them is that they're super formal/like an instruction manual or all the kanji, but either way it should help.  That being said, in the past it's seemed to be the general consensus that the blog itself (i.e. what the member writes) is the most important thing and if a long staff message/announcement gets in the way of that, it can be skipped.  Though remember that you can always get help translating things like that in this thread.

The kanji and the length make the announcements quite a nuisance to translate, but I'll just have to use my discretion about which ones to translate and which to skip.
 
Also, could somebody help me with these two lines? In the first line she's talking about a Doraemon themed TV show she appeared on with Mizuki and in the 2nd line things just get weird.

If you take a look at the video or some screenshots from it (google e.g. 工藤 ドラえもん知識), you'll notice the contestants had their affiliation written on their name tags, for example モーニング娘。14の工藤遥
So that would be "Ootake Haruka of Oyakata Powers"

I'd like to formally stop translating Iikubo.  It takes too much time! Takahashi's entries are so short that I can drum them out here and there but I can't sit for 15min+ on Iikubo and all her obscure (to me) anime/manga references.

Looking up イロモノ, I get the sense that it's something like 'special' or 'unique', with a negative connotation (ref: here, here, and here)
Sentence structure is a mess, but this is how I think it breaks down:
 
普段イロモノとなぜか言われてしまうももちが - That the Momochi that is normally said to possess uniqueness is
普通になじんでしまうBerryz工房は -Berryz Kobo that got used to it is
普通じゃない - Not normal
 
'It isn't normal how Berryz Kobo ended up getting used to the Momochi who's normally said to be a unique personality!! (lol)'

OK, thanks for the heads up.  I'm doing some Sakura posts right now, but just do what you can before vacation.  As far as I've noticed she hasn't blogged about Berryz unless I totally missed something.  While you're on vacation I'll just ask if anyone else can prep if I see an important entry.
