Never mind. In the video tutorial, for some reason, a part of the image url was deleted and was added fine. I did that and got the error. I just tried the full image url and everything works. I have Windows FYI

Thanks for quick replying though.

Did I prep the posts correctly? It's my first time doing it so I just want to make sure before trying to do more :)

Oh, glad it works now!
The only thing is the post-date -
2014年10月04日.I don't think the system can recognize the kanji characters so you need to change it to 2014/10/04. Also, having a times stamp would be ideal as that's how the posts are sorted on the site (using that date). But I don't think Meimi posts more than once a day so it's okay.
I'm not sure if it's possible to extract the time. I haven't done this for awhile so others might know better.

Great job anyways! Haha.. this one wasn't as straight forward.

I took care of that "monster" blog post from Harunan about New York that Taylor mentioned earlier. So It's ready for whoever wants to translate it. My first one so let me know how I did.

Ice, you forgot to remove all the html things (</div>, <div>, etc), as shown in the video. And remember that you need to change the kanjis in the date into slashs (as Strawberryjam stated previously) :).

I had the same problem before you need to change date to 2014-10-04 and time of post you can get for 10 last posts from RSS fed http://rssblog.ameba.jp/smileage-submember/rss20.xml ( you will see it in  your timezone and need to convert it to JST )
It is the same for all S/mileage members here are theirs RSS fed:

Kanyon - http://rssblog.ameba.jp/kanon-fukuda/rss20.xml

Guys, we have 611 drafts. :hahaha: It seems a lot of prepped posts go untranslated and I don't want to be wasting efforts.

Translators, is it possible to let me know how often you prefer posts to prepped for each girl?
For example, I know Kana posts multiple times a day, but is the translator really going to translate every post?
I will add this information to the spreadsheet. Just bear in mind with this system, it's really up to the preppers to decide which posts to prep.

Please respond with something like below -
Erina Mano: 1-2 times a week

Welcome back!
I also had some problems with the dates and times of the posts. The RSS feed is what I use, but if you want to prep older posts which are not shown there, you can search on this twitter https://twitter.com/hpkoblog . It's for all the girls in H!P, so you might have to scroll down a lot. If you know the date of the post and recognize the name of the girl in kanji there should be no problem.

Ah thank you :) I was going to ask how to get the time stamp for posts since I don't think it is on the actual blog post as far as I can see. For the twitter, is the time in JST or in my own time zone like for the RSS feed?

^For the twitter it's in JST.  On the RSS feed it's in JST if you view it on Chrome, but in your own when you view it on Firefox.

I'm terribly sorry for disappearing, I'm back now.  Welcome to all the new preppers.  I'll go through and let those of you who are prepping for me know where to pick up.

I try to translate everything. Even if life delays my translation efforts for a week or two, I always try to clear out the back-up.

That said, we previously didn't translate both of Sayumi's blogs, so I might be a bit more sluggish than before. I usually check for posts every day, though, so if the new preppers could commit to prepping a little more regularly throughout the week rather than weekly dumps of 6-10, that would be great for me. Kanyon's are usually prepped like that, which is fine most of the time, but if everyone is doing it that way then suddenly I wake up and see that I have 10 for Nyon, 6 for Dawa, and like 20 for Sayumi from both blogs, which is a little tough to chew. I'm willing to work with the schedule of each prepper; I just have to know what their schedules actually are. If it would be possible to coordinate the days on which people prep if they can only do it once a week, that would also be good.

I have a good system going with Meikochi but just to keep things clear...
I log in almost every morning (with some exceptions) so we try to keep things at
*Takahashi Ai -- around 1 post a day but sometimes more since her entries are short and photo heavy
*Fukumura Mizuki -- around 1 post a week or every other week maybe

When I cleared out all drafts, I try to pick up some untranslated Mano back numbers.

Yes I'm sorry for last week. I didn't want to let them pile up like that either, but it was my first proper week at university again and I had a lot of organisatory problems as well as homework :eekrun: it was very stressful, but now everything should be fine. I'm going to prep Kanyon a bit more regularly as long my studies allow me to.

I prepped Uemura's most recent blog post and past blog posts starting after the last translated blog. I'll start on Rina's tomorrow.

- Edit - OK, I'm a total airhead. I had no idea there were replies because my phone was refreshing to the same page and not the most recent page.

I can't give you a ready-made solution but I'll try to offer some advice.

As you know, 「あれ」 , per its dictionary definition, is used to refer to something both the speaker and the listener can empathize with. Often in informal speech that 'something' is understood to be weird/unsatisfactory/unpleasant which is why they prefer not to say it out clearly. Examples (from Google):

不登校中女子です。不登校中の間に10キロ痩せてしまい、制服のスカートがデカくなって、ウエストは調節出来るんですが 振り幅?が以上に大きいんです それが気になります、 買い直すのはあれだから何かいい方法ありませんかね?
I'm a girl and I've been skipping school a lot. And I lost 10 kg while I wasn't going to school, so my uniform skirt, y'know, is now like way too big, though you can adjust the waist, but what about the pleats? They now like swing back and forth like way too freely, I'm really worried about how it might look. Because buying a new one would be also y'know, I wonder if there's a better way?

最近までハイキングはビジネスシューズでやっていまして、靴が重く感じたり、通気性の悪さに閉口したり、まあ、ビジネス用ですから仕方ないのですが、これで20kmとか歩くほうがあれなわけで
Although until recently I wore my dress shoes when I went out hiking, they caused my feet to feel heavy, ventilation was also incredibly poor. Well, they're dress shoes, I guess wearing them for a 20km trek to begin with...

つまり露出するような女の頭の中身はあれなわけで、そんな女はやらしいことする対象にしかならん。 簡単にやらせてくれると思もん。 彼女には露出するようなバカ女は選ばん。
In short, if girls would choose such skimpy outfits, their brains must be THAT way. You can't view them as anything but objects of gratification, as bitches who are ever ready to put out. I wouldn't want one of those stupid exhibitionists as my girlfriend.

映画「永遠の0」:新しい袋に詰められた古い酒。 観ないで批判するのもあれだから気が進まないけど観に行った。
The movie "Eien no zero": old stuff in a new wrapping. Since you know what they say about people who criticize something they've never seen, I reluctantly went to see it.

釣りでなければちょっと頭があれな人としか思えん。
Man, either you're trolling or something's wrong with your head.

The general recipe is:

「○○○はあれだ。」 ---is kinda y'know.
「○○○あれだから・・・」 ---'cause it's kinda y'know
「○○○あれなわけで・・・」 ---since it's kinda y'know

So, what exactly was Fukumura unhappy about? She doesn't like the way her pattsun-styled bangs look?

I didn't want to let them pile up like that either, but it was my first proper week at university again and I had a lot of organisatory problems as well as homework :eekrun: it was very stressful, but now everything should be fine. I'm going to prep Kanyon a bit more regularly as long my studies allow me to.

Oh no problem. I know we all have lives that get in the way of stuff and you still did it, so I'm not complaining. She is the only one I'm translating that's getting prepped regularly right now anyway so wasn't an issue. It's just that if all of the preppers start doing once-a-week dumps then I'm going to be way over my head pretty quickly. But for right now you're totally fine, keep doing what you're doing. I appreciate it.

Wow! Welcome, everyone, and thanks for your help! :3 Mano posts pretty much only once a day, so that is fine with me. I try to translate all of them, even the backlog, but my only issue with that is being able to carve out time to get through them. My schedule looks rather different from how it did when I started translating, so I really do appreciate eri's help in picking up a Mano post now and then.

And....yeah, Max Perkins--you are amazing. o_o

Sakura doesn't post every day so I am going to try and keep up with her. I am going on vacation in a couple weeks but was planning to let Momusu4Ever know before I left.

Would anyone mind prepping these two posts? (or at least the first one?)

It's Duu's birthday today, so I'd like to translate at least one of her posts about it.

Mezumiiru, glad to see you're back as Momoko's prepper.  Could you start with her October posts (minus the one on the 8th)?  We'll probably be going back and forth chronologically for a while, but I'll let you know whenever I'm ready for more older posts.
Masamune, could you prep these two Aika posts when you have time?  OneTwo.
coconuts, when you prep Rina's posts, could you put "Katsuta" in the title?  It makes it easier for me to find them.  And I guess just keep prepping from where you started.

Thank you all for all your hard work!

Momo posts are done but the one from  10/5 http://ameblo.jp/tsugunaga-momoko-blog/entry-11934965214.html is missing photo (or is it intentional? )
I tried to look for it in net but with no luck

Thank you!  It looks like the photo was deleted, so don't worry about it.

Eri, I'm prepping 5 Mizupon's posts since I don't know which ones are the most interesting (her birthday goods, her birthday, Duu's birthday, with Sakura, with 12th gen and a last one with a photo of MM's Santas last year). So I let you decide and feel free to delete if you don't have time to translate them all, though Aichan seems pretty calm those last days.

Edit : should I stop prepping Karin to let you catch up on translation rob ?
Is anyone willing to translate this post of Aibon about recent news in her life ?

Thanks for the heads up - lately I can translate 1-2 a day so this is great. But fyi, I'm going out of town for the weekend of October 31-Nov 2 so don't be startled if things temporarily get backed up.

I'll take the Aibon message.

Ok, thanks for telling me :).
What do you think about prepping only Aichan posts during this week-end (like that, you shouldn't have too much posts to catch up) ?
Also Mizuki posted another post about her birthday and Aichan didn't post anything so is it ok if I prep it ?
Also, since xepher is MIA, I'm on Risa's post about her birthday, I hope I don't do anything wrong ^^'.
