Tsuji has always looked odd to me since she left the group, and I couldn't ever put my finger on just what it was. I thought maybe she just had a bunch of plastic surgery, but I don't think that's it. I mean, she's def had some, but mostly she just lost the baby fat in her face that everyone loses as they age. Anyway, watching this made me realize it's the teeth. Tsuji does look great, but the teeth just look too fake to me.
 
I think all of them look really good, to be honest, with the surprising exception of Rika. She needs to do something with that boring hairdo. Even Mari, Kei and Hitomi look really good in this clip.

Yurina's profile claims she's 176cm tall but they measured her at 181cm. This puts her at just under six feet tall. The average height for a Japanese woman is about five foot two.

Did they make sure she was barefoot? I'm curious, since I feel like I've heard before that she's close to 6 ft tall with heels on. If not, then all worship the green giant.

I could have told you that. I'm right at 181cm. I've stood next to her while we were both wearing tennis shoes and we were the same height.

Everyone took their shoes off when they were measured.

Who knows when they last updated those profiles. They probably just assumed she stopped growing at a certain age. Usually girls stop around 16-18. I've actually grown about 1 1/2 inches since high school and I'm almost 21.

Most girls stop growing height-wise long before 18 actually and are usually done by about 14 or 15. Growth in girls slows down a lot once they start menstruating.


I haven't gotten any taller since I was 12. :(

I've been 5'2" for the past three years, I think, and I'm 16. I'd like to be taller, but I don't count on it. I always imagine Yurina as a giant because of the height difference when she stands next to the others.

In Japan they usually say 18 is when you stop growing (regardless of fact). So I would imagine that the company stopped measuring her then, and it's been several years since she was last measured.

I think it's more common in boys to keep growing after puberty than it is in girls. Not that most people do. By 25 at the latest people are done growing for sure.

I stopped growing from 10 to 18 and then suddenly grew an inch (making me a nice, respectable 5'1/155cm) sometime between 19 and 20 LOL.  Bodies are weird that way.
That, or they just thought the idea of a 181 cm idol girl was too much lmao.

The FNS show was fun (Okumura is a fun guy) and on stage (because off stage, Rika & Nozomi didn't look that good to me) all OGs were beautiful (and those dresses, great !). On the previous episode, the kids performance was lovely ; I wish I could have seen it properly, and not only those little bits (Babies Airi and Mai !) . I also hoped not that "many" OGs would be missing but well.

Same here haha. I'm 1.64m/5.5ft (thank you Google, I'm not at ease at all with the special american unities), which makes me taller than most H!P idols :D. But Yurina is unrivaled.

I remember how much I was in shock when I first went to Japan last year. On the train, I was one of the tallest person, and being a girl it was strange... I'm 5'7/170cm, and here I'm cleary not the talest girl (maybe I hang out to much with the basketball team! XD)

But Kumai. Wow.

The FNS show was awsome, the final part with Tsunku was so cheesy but it was cute at the same time.

There are two big differences between Yaguchi and Kago.
 
1. Their current media capabilities. Yaguchi had a pretty strong post MM career but Kago didn't. Kago therefore has nothing to come back to.
 
2. Yakuza connections < infidelity

I am 5'6", and I grew really.... really.... really slowly. Puberty never really hit me hard at all to begin with, actually. Never got the acne, or even the voice breaking (which is what really freaks me out).
 
A lot of the guys around here tower over me, though. Back in 2012, I was in this junior curator program at the museum with a few other gals and guys, and I felt like a hobbit among humans.

Took some screen caps of Part 1 of the special. DAMN Yossi turned out to be beautiful! I actually think Tsuji is starting to look like their old dance teacher haha. Rika looks a little...frumpy? Abe and Iida are beautiful, so beautifullll.
