Konno announced she's pregnant and is due in October. She's having a girl.
 
Her instagram is like 95% pictures of food, and the ones of her are almost all shoulder up, but there's a few recent ones where it's kind of obvious she's pregnant.

I thought she was when they had her final show with Gaki.  I saw her announcement yesterday and immediately messaged TnB WOW I AM SO SURPRISED.
 
Happy for her though.  Just kind of wish she didn't have to abandon her career to have a baby....

There will be a C-ute related event on August 6th at this year's Tokyo Idol Festival. I don't know what the event is, but I guess it's just Chisa and some other people talking C-ute? Chisa will also appear later that day at one of the TIF 2017 closing events:

I was wondering where to post this question, so since Solarblade highlighted Up Up Girls three posts above, I'll just ask the question here.
 
How does one describe Up Up Girls' music?  I downloaded one of their concerts and watched the first few numbers, the first time I've really been exposed to their music. It's not like Hello! Project. It seems to me to be closer to AKB48 in terms of style and aggressiveness. I really don't have any other reference points for it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Am I remembering things wrong, but didn't Up Up Girls start as a k-pop dance cover group?

Yeah, they started as Up Front Girls (Kari) and did kpop covers, they also backup danced for some group I've never even heard of, that I doubt are even still around. They were formed in early 2011, and did their first original song in 2012. When they did the covers, they called themselves UFZS.
 
One of the more notable things is that they've been around for six years and are still an indie group. I don't know why, I guess they've sort of made it their image, with the (Kari) and all. 
 
They're about to lose their two most popular members, so it'll be interesting to see if that hurts them. They don't have graduation dates, but I predict it's gonna be at the end of the year.

UUG 2 released their first MV and while its not terrible, its not that great either. It doesn't feel like Up Up Girls, but its not bad and grows on you. The best part is the girl who plays the recorder with her nose.
