Haha, reminds me that my first induction to Hello!Project was someone who recommended Mini Moni to me on DeviantArt when I was like eight or nine years old, maybe 2003? It was so hard to find Japanese music online back then, especially as a kid with limited technical know-how. We've really come a long ass way... throwback to DohhhUp and how terrible it was, yet how happy we were to have it, haha!

I became a fan at the same moment Dohuuup (I can't find the right typo lol) was around. At least we got some videos from there!

I'm still bitter Ruru isn't a soloist. She killed it singing one of my favorite Momusu songs.

She also did a nice rendition of Tsumetai Kaze.
She grown into a really amazing performer!

Kobushi's acapella ver of Nen ni wa Nen went up just now, and it's actually really really good.

Is there going to be a livestream of the grad concert?

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
It's supposed to be aired in Japan but the website it was usually streamed on changed its policies or something. Guess there will be something like a shaky, hand-filmed version of a livestream, but nothing is set yet.
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
As I was watching the videos for “Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi,” and “Endless Sky” at the gym today, it occurred to me that the 13-member lineup of Morning Musume that year, 2015—after 12th Gen joined and before Riho left--was unprecedented in MM’s history. For the first and so far only time, there were four complete consecutive generations in MM: 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. By my count that has never occurred before or since. Am I right?

Okay, apparently Chisaki joined before Duu left, so that would be 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th Gens--five consecutive intact Gens. So it has happened since--with one additional Gen!

I just heard in an FB comment that Yuka Miyazaki is graduating. Is this true? Can someone find an official source of info and start a thread about it?

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
I'm watching a bunch of clips from the 2018 summer concert and.... while I have both a lot of pros and cons I could go into detail about, can I say how much I hate that they just wear the costumes of their most recent release/individual concerts? It really takes away from the whole idea that this is H!P coming together as a whole, when you have them all in super mis-matching, crazy-patterned outfits.

Eguchi Saya and Nishida Shiori (of the new group CHICA#TETSU and Beyooooonds) singing C-ute's Sekaiichi Happy na Onna no Ko.
I like thejr singing. It's cutesy but there's more behind it.

Nishida was being touted as the next H!P uta-hime, so I'm not too surprised by her singing.... but it's nice to hear what Eguchi sounds like <3 I was already interested in her but this only helped my interest lmao

Oh she was? I only knew about Yuhane. But yeah she's pretty good.
Another good singer not going to MM.

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
So I've been wondering, since we have "eras" did the fandom name the era post-Sayu/Tsunku? I just noticed from looking at the tracklist of Momusu's upcomng best album that it almost feels like eras were put in place
Disc 1 being Platinum era (minus "Onna ni Sachi Are")
Disc 2 being Colorful era (essentially the time Sayu led the group)
Disc 3 & 4 ????

Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
I think we're still in the colorful era or the group's going through another transition like they had between the golden era and that era where everyone left and Koharu joined, before the platinum era.
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
In the Digital Pictures thread in Members Territory, I posted pix from Anime NYC of all the MM-BBS-ers who attended.
Plus one other I'll post here as a teaser showing the ones we all went to see:

I had a dream like two weeks ago that Kaede was graduating and even now I still keep thinking it was real and have to double check myself.
Maybe I should add to my 2019 predictions xD

Masaki is pretty much mad popular in all categories (goods, concert goers (shirts and lightsticks), twitter) but the rest is pretty diverse.
Like twitter loves Sakura and she's popular with female fans but girls like Maria and Mizuki make the photobook money of course. Ayumi is always decently popular in everything. Chisaki is... idk her handshake events always sell out but nobody talks about her on twitter I think. She's popular among wota.
Yokoyan is definitely getting a push and decently popular though she's not up there (yet).
Then you have the obscure level of Ikuta, Nonaka and Kaede. Ikuta is getting some photoshoot work lately, Kaede is ambassador for her hometown or something and Miki is studying english - they all do work but it's not like they're popular.
And Akane is pretty much at the bottom since Haruna graduated, but she's starting to bloom so who knows what's going to happen this year.

Mostly girls who can sing somewhat decently yet they're still determined to stock the group with as many tone deaf tin-ears as possible lol it's so weird to me.
Re: Hello!Spam :: 2020 ~Anniversary Mode~
Maria's lack of popularity in Japan seems odd.
