This is really crazy interesting. I read about the syndrome (fetish?) first on this site: http://jezebel.com/5146666/objectum-sexual...become-intimate



The syndrome is when people fall in love with things. In the linked documentary, you see women having relationships with bows, fences, and bridges. In other places, men will talk about literally loving cars and wanting to have sex with them. Both genders believe this love is reciprocated, that objects can be gendered, and that their sex with those objects is consensual. Like, one woman even has a wedding ceremony with the Eiffel Tower and she changes her last name. I've also heard of a story where a woman fell in love with the Berlin Wall and "married" it for almost 30 years before it was torn down.



So, the original comments on the website suggests that this is a very tragic reaction to sexual abuse and commenters have also noted that autism often leads to intense object-love. I'm not sure what to make of it.

There was another documentary a while back (in the same series I think), specifically about men and cars. It was pretty bizarre.

I would like to ask those people a few questions about what they think "love" is etc.



Sounds very... special to me.



According to the veoh documentary ONLY women are like that.

When the two women were walking through New York, I understood that they loved the feeling and atmosphere there.

Same thing happened to me in a different city. I loved nearly everything there and plan to move there.

However, that doesn't rule out having a human partner.
