Yes, pretty much. In Korean, Gwaenchanha is like asking "Are you okay?" and you say "Gwaenchanha" back it means you are fine. I think (but I'm not sure) that it call also be used more casually, sort of a "How are you doing?" type of thing.



Otherwise...the PV is pretty. A bit boring, but at least you get an interesting scenery to look at.

Man, I forgot how ridiculous it is when people try to Romanize Korean since the sounds can't really be conveyed properly with English characters without looking ridiculous.



I haven't listened to this song yet. Part of it is laziness to click on the link since it'd have to open a whole new window and the other is because I'm at work and this computer has horrendous speakers.

Wow that was campy! xD I feel like I got dropped back into the early 90's listening to late night radio with smooth jazz. Whenever I couldn't sleep, I'd through on the soft rock and it would instantly put me to sleep. Yuki looks like she's 40 and not almost 30. D:

She really does look much older than her age. At first I was going to say it's just the frumpy hairstyle, but she's got some deep lines on her face. The song is pretty dissapointing, I'm getting the cheesy 90s jazz feeling too. It's too bad, her last two singles were awesome. Her voice is beautiful as always, but the song is just so lame.



Is it certain that she's being dumped altogether? Or is she just moving to another part of UFA like the rest of elder club?

Nobody's really sure. She wasn't listed in any of the fanclub groups, so her future is kinda questioned as well as the other three who didn't.

Has UFA ever just let someone go for their own reasons? There have been enough scandals and claims of "returning to school" that lead to people leaving, but have they ever outright just dropped an act without making a cover statement? I thought Yuki was pretty much delivering for UFA in regards to being in the enka/folk niche.

I guess it's because I go to my "old people karaoke" every Friday with all the enka students that this seems so normal and modern to me haha. They sing both old and new enka songs and they're all about like this. I like it though and I've loved Yuki from the beginning. <3

They've dropped acts without much of a statement - from what I've heard, the T&C Bomber and Miyoshi Chinatsu announcements weren't that detailed, but there were announcements. It seems like if they were dropping Yuki (and the other three) they'd at least officially announce that they were leaving UFA entirely. As for Yuki delivering, she has pretty abysmal sales. I'm not sure if she even makes the enka charts on Oricon.

I've loved this song from the moment I first heard it performed. The video is a bit disappointing though. It's a beautiful yet sad love song set in Korea, so it feels like with such a great story they should have set the video up to show that story. Or atleast had it on location in Korea, I'm pretty sure the temple featured is one in Japan.



Even something like the set up of Tokyo Kirigisu would've been great, with shots of the spots she mentions in Korea being mixed with shots of Yuki herself.



I have a feeling Yuki will continue on as she is, just as a part of UFA only. Along with Miyoshi and Yui she didn't fit in any of the fanclubs, but with the special sites being opened they will most likely become mini fanclubs.
