Hello! Project 2009 Winter Wonderful Hearts Koen - Kakumei Gannen - and the Elder Club Koen - Thank you for your LOVE! will be released together on a 2 disc DVD, March the 25th.

To Buy/Pre-order (If you haven't already/want to)

YesAsia

CDJapan

Play-Asia

Performance List is Here (Thank Juju!) [Though the Wonderful Heart is missing the Go Girl performance below.]

Dohhh UP!
has previews from both concerts up. (And the reason for this thread. )

Wonderful Hearts version of Go Girl ~Koi no Victory~

Elder Club version of Never Forget

_______________________________

I never cared much for the Elder Club but they do put a LOT of energy into everything they do with 110%! This was by far the best and most moving performance of Never Forget I have ever heard or seen. And yay for dragging out Kaori to sing a few lala's (though I would have liked to see her in the beginning with the rest of the OG lineup!) I can only hope the rest of the concert is as powerful as the last song.

As for the Wonderful Hearts and future Hello!Project. I noticed in the Go Girl performance that there were a bit of technical slips? I don't know what to call them where suddenly one girl was heard REALLY loud over everyone else. I heard Reina and Risa and a few others. Mano looks lost and overall the performance was okay? It wasn't very powerful and it just fell flat. I assume this was at the end of the concert but viewing this against the Elder Club is like night and day.

The Elder Club clearly put more effort into their performance because the girls are soaking wet where as Wonderfull Hearts are just mildly perspired.

I've bought 1 H!P concert in my entire fanlife with the groups and that was Kei's graduation. I think this will be my second. I think the sticker price is fine, considering you're getting two concerts. The joint concert which is being released on April 15th is also the same price, which makes me wonder what else they'll have on their because I can't see why it would be so expensive.

Your guess was right. Go Girl should be the very last song of the Wonderful Hearts concert, according to the list at Centuryland's Live/Event BBS.

I don't think I would have really noticed anything off about the Go Girl performance if you hadn't pointed it out. It's never been one of my favorite songs to see performed though, so I don't usually pay much attention to it.

I agree about Kaori - I would have liked to see her in the beginning rather than say...Makoto. They were obviously trying to have all the former MM girls in the beginning get a solo (save Kaori for whatever reason), but Rika, Yossi, Konno, Miki and Makoto in particular, since she's hardly done anything with Elder Club, seemed kind of odd to feature. Why not Yuki, Atsuko, or any of MKB? they've all been doing the Elder Club thing for ages, I feel like they should have gotten more of a last hurrah. Overall though it was a really nice performance, Ayaya's solo in particular was gorgeous. Yuko looked so sad at the end, I felt kind of bad for her. I wonder how much these girls will get to perform together now that the whole restructure has happened =/

That cover is horrendous. I don't really have much to say since its likely I won't watch this since I mostly only watch the H!P concerts that have something unique about them, be it a live band or concert that has album tracks that will never get sung again, etc. I fell asleep during the last Elder Concert that Ukyo and I watched, and I had the urge to skip through a few songs even while I was awake. Granted that was like, '07, but I'm somewhat tired of most of the active Elders right now.

You know, I always thought the Never Forget would be a loot more emotional. In the peak days of H!P, if someone graduated it was the most dramatic thing that ever happened to everybody, ever. Now here's this mass graduation and there IS a sense of sadness, but there's less emotional attachment to the whole ordeal I guess. It was at least really gorgeous sounding. Go Girl is yet another performance of Go Girl. I watched like the first 30 seconds and was like "Yep, there it is!"

I won't buy this- the only time I really enjoyed watching a concert was when my friend and I dorked out to a Koda Kumi one I have, dancing like gay retards. Concerts are best experienced with energy and that just does not come with a DVD alone in your room. I normally just youtube choice performances, but I'm excited about that youtubing! There's some neat stuff in the Elder Club list.
it's just. Us finishing what we started in that hotel in Little Tokyo. - TnA

I think aside from Kaori, and Nacchi's weird solo at the end of each chorus, the solos were in order of generation @ the beginning -- Yuko, Yaguchi, Kei, Rika, Yossi, Konno, Ogawa, Miki. Each group (Ongaku Gatas, MKB, Biyuuden, Atsuko/Yuki got a duet line, and Ayaya) was featured as well. I'm guessing Nacchi got two lines because hey, she's Nacchi, and Kaorin's solo... I don't know, but I liked where it was.

Everyone got their time to shine, and that I think was probably the idea.

Yes I noticed that, I just personally feel that people who have been with Elder Club longer, like Atsuko/Yuki and MKB, would have been better candidates for solos than the MM members. To me, it would be more meaningful to have those people in the beginning rather than relegated to group/duet lines later. Just a personal feeling though. It mostly just made me notice how out of place Makoto and Miki feel there, since they've done next to nothing with Elder Club before this concert.

I completely agree with that statement, but I think the reason why it was not that emotional because even though this was Elder Club's last concert by themselves, they still have one more concert with Wonderful Hearts which is when they actually graduate.

Well, it is a MM song so I think it would be better to feature them... Even if they were a bit out of place and Atusko and Yuki should get solos too. Where's Tsuji?

I liked the Never Forget performance ok, and like what Liana said, Wonderful Hearts' Go Girl performance is just another Go Girl performance. I'm really sad to see the Elder Club go though because even though I never watched an Elder Club in it's entirety, I'm definitely be going to miss the joint concerts with WH especially after watching Hello!Pro's 10th anniversary concert. That concert is just so great.

Well the reason it wasn't that emotional also has to do with the fact that this wasn't even the last concert of the Elder Club tour, it was the first stop. The last stop was Nagoya, which surprises me that they filmed in Nakano when that was the first spot for both. (It was the same for Gatas they did Yokohama when Nagoya was the last concert). During the last concert people apparently had penlights out (the ones we didn't get to use at the actual graduation because of a very apparent lack of Never Forget) and a lot of the girls started crying on stage.

I definitely recommend the ElderClub concert. The setlist is amazing, the performances all had a lot of energy. And even Ayaya with her bad foot put her all into the performances. Unlike the HP Award concert songs like "Baby Koi ni Knockout" and "Tanpopo" are performed in almost their entirety.

Ever since they split into groups (Shiro/Akagumi), the concert they film is always Nakano's last day even if it's the first stop of the tour, so this is no different than those ones. It's probably just the biggest venue.

I really wanna see the Elder Club concert. Or all three of the Winter shows, really. But since Steve enjoys, among other things, the inhalation of rhinoceros semen... I doubt he'll ever want to download any of them. And of course, this makes me wish that Goto Maki had stuck around until this point. Trying to sum up Hellopro's first decade is tough without her, as she was such a huge part of it all. She was the ace of Morning Musume during the golden era, she was in Pucchimoni, she had her solo career, countless amazing shuffle and short-term groups, etc. Her leaving was a much bigger deal than we gave credit for, and it left a gaping hole in Hellopro (despite how inactive she may have ended up being by this point, if she had stuck around). The only thing that tops it, in terms of completely changing Hellopro's dynamic, is of course the Elder Club graduation. It's not the beginning of the end for old-school Hellopro, it's "the end of the end."

Ah I didn't realize that. I guess it makes sense as the main venue, but the size actually appears to be the same as the Osaka hall size, which is only a little bigger than the last stop in Nagoya. With the penlight thing in Nagoya, I definitely would've rather had that be the concert on dvd.

In random news, my friends and I are in one of the pictures in the Winter Concert Photobook. More that you can see my one friend with curly hair and glasses, part of my shirt, and my other friend's shoulder slightly as Mari waves to us. This gives me hope that if they have pics from the afternoon concert, and were also filming it, we might be on the dvd for a second. It's kinda awkward and awesome at the same time.

I’ve now seen all three winter concerts, plus the ‘making of’ footage. I just completed a blog report on the big graduation special, following the reports I did last weekend of the Wonderful Hearts and Elder Club concerts.

During the big graduation ceremony, I didn’t notice any shots of Yossi crying. Miki was her usual dry-eyed self. So, what’s new? I was dry-eyed myself. Perhaps because I’d had coffee before watching it—it’s a long concert, almost 3 hours, so I had to stay awake—as opposed to what I usually sip while watching these concerts, which tends to make me all sentimental and teary-eyed. [ ] That didn’t happen here. Maybe it’s just a kind of fatigue.

I don’t get why they divided up the concerts into two 2-disc sets, instead of one big 4-disc set like they did in 2007 and 2008. It cost me a lot more money this way.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Miki and Kaori back in the Elder Club. And Mako-chan. And, only in the Graduation Special, Nono. That’s four who were absent in 2008, three of them the “scandal” girls of 2007. Does this mark a sea change at UFA? Are the suits finally developing a little tolerance and understanding? Needless to say, it was great to see Nono. Kind of makes up for the glaring absence of Maki and Aibon.

I wonder if Alita87 is visible in any of the audience shots. There weren’t many such shots that were clear enough to try and pause and freeze-frame through, so I tend to doubt it. But if the answer is yes, Alita, please let us know the screentime.

You've pretty much answered your own question with that last sentence

Eh, I doubt it. It took almost two years to see Miki in concert again, that's not really showing more tolerance. I wouldn't really consider Kaori and Tsuji "scandal" girls, since H!P was pretty supportive at the time of their pregnancies and marriages. It's not like either of them really had much going on in H!P at the time anyway. Their absence in past concerts was just maternity leave, not H!P telling them not to show up.

I have to go through and check again, but when my friend and I watched it over the weekend it seems like although we are definitely in it area wise a few times, the shots are from such odd angles or so far away/quick that you can't see for definite. So far the only definite visual is in the concert photobook but I haven't seen that up on trackers to clip us there. (It's mainly my one friend with curly hair and glasses that is the most visable and stood out enough for us to find ourselves). Anytime there's a shot of that small front stage, we're right there.

There are several moments at the end where we know it was when the girls were waving to us from the timing and facial expressions, but again since the camera was shooting from right in front of us it's hard to tell. It seems like the audience is more visable from the sides during the running around, as the front stage we were by had such weird lighting that the audience usually got obscured.

Yuko ripping out her earphone (from the night concert) still moves me. Most of the ending footage seemed to be from the night concert, however they didn't show when Kaori collapsed on stage, though it looks like they may just have avoided that area of the stage with the footage and still used the night footage.
