a FAKE Japanese sushi chef approves of all the stupid stereotypes that presumably dumb white Americans have about Japan. Thus it should be okay for you all to go spend your money at Sakura Con? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

I remember when this was on /b/ awhile back, had a good laugh at it after I raged. It's everything I hate about anime fans rolled into one nice neat package, and also the reason why I keep my love of jpop a secret.

This was always posted on Gametrailers ~2 weeks ago and there were actually people saying "OMG IT'S SO CAWAI".

I love how the users on this board stayed normal talking people, while haying a lovely relationship with j-pop, some anime now and then etc.

^I guess it's because smile.dk are like one of the most important groups in the Bemani games (specifically DDR). And Bemani games are all japanese and otaku-ish so they're part of the ugly stereotype they're trying to portrait here?

That's a good question, and if what people have told me is correct, that's also why they mention GAROOGAMESH in the commercial, because they're guests this year as well, which makes your theory even more seemingly possible.



And no, they're not Japanese at all, they're 2 white chicks, they just got popularity in the late 90s/early 00's dance scene in Japan, probably originally propagated through their DDR exposure, but I'm not entirely sure.
