Morning Musume - Shouganai Yume Oibito PV

So the lyrics for this song was posted earlier on this forum which I guess that person got the coloring from youtube.



Based on this PV, I the location of it looks pretty nice, and I can kind of tell that there was some budget. In this PV instead of just close-up + dance, it's single close-up, group close-up (like Berryz Koubou's Koi no Jubaku), dance, and some walking scenes and stuff. It's a bit boring, but I still kind of like it. When was the last time Reina actually had her down (you know, like without ponytails and stuff)? I almost didn't recognize her at first. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':hawhaw:' />



As for the song, I was a bit upset that it was another "serious" song, but it's actually not that bad, imo. However, I kinda do miss the "happy-fun" songs like Mikan (since that was their last one so far).

What's up with the "I just got dumped" songs by MM?! LOL! Anyway, it looks pretty. They seem to be going for a (slightly) more mature look here. They look like college girls (as well they should, since most of the group is late teens to early 20s now).

Wow. This didn't grab me when I first started playing it, but by the time the second verse rolled around, I was really into it. I'm not sure why, either, since like I said, nothing really grabs me about the song. When I like a song, it's usually the arrangement or how the girls sing that I like best, but I think it's the composition that I like best here.



The PV fits well, too. Nice to see that it's not the standard H!P formula.



I didn't care for Naichau Kamo and Pepper Keibu too much, Mikan was awful, and I have a love/hate with Resonant Blue at this point. I think I like this better than those. I hope the b-side is good, too.

It's not even that she's particularly off key, she just....sounds like a nasal 4 year old. All the time. Even TsujiKago never sounded that out of place in a song. But I can mostly ignore that because of how much I like the overall song. I can't even say why, something about it just worked for me all the way through.



As for the PV, eh. There's been worse, there's been better. Everyone looks really good though, especially Reina and Risa. They need to do something with LinLin's hair though, it's way too flat and even. She needs some layers.

I love this song! It's also one of the first songs of their's in a while that I liked during the first listen.



The PV itself was also a breath of fresh air, though I haven't actually looked at it in its entirety.

I remember she used to have a similar vibe in a some PVs when she was younger... I remember watching Sakura Mankai's PV for the first time before I really knew MM that well, and thinking she had a wickedly intense look in her eyes.



As for this single, I'm not as ga-ga over this song as others to be, but I do like it. I especially like the guitar riff. The dance is dull but I like the style of the rest of the PV.

Whatever the reasoning, I like the direction they're heading with these two new PVs. They're not exactly on par with the old days, but they're definitely a step above the recent ones.

I kinda like the song and the outfits and the singing and the video, and the chorus, but still.... Something's off. I like the really full sounding ballad, but it really seems like an anime theme. The PV is pretty, but I'm not a big fan of the standing in the second half. That entire shot is too cluttered, but it may be the low quality PV. I probably won't have this stuck in my head, but I do enjoy it more than some previous works.



What's the deal with a single two months after an album release especially when the previous single was almost a year back from that? Cover You didn't take that long to produce, did it?

took them long enough... but from the preview, it's not extremely typical of him. I think he toned down his "sound" a bit, or the quality of the rip, hides it. It's a far cry from Senpai~LOVE AGAIN~ or Dokusenyoku Hirata. I can't wait to hear the CD, to truly reveal the subtle effects.

Uh, the previous single was in February. And the one prior to that was 5 months behind that one.

Yes, Tvstation.jp's news page reported the arranger credits, but I'm wondering if the c/w is by him as well. I hope so.



After the Dohhhup PV, I can definitely pick out recognizable Hirata elements in this song.

I like this song a lot now, the song and PV make me think of The Possible.

Didn't like this one at first but it is growing on me. The DohhUp version is much more clear than the first Youtube one so it's easier to judge on that. The song is subtle, I'm loving the violins in the background, especially around 3:35. Very pretty. The whole song is very toned down for Momusu but I like it better than some of the other less-hyper stuff they have done recently (aruiteru comes to mind - bleh).



Biggest complaint is that basically every momusu single lately has had the same sound as far as vocals go - always Takahashi with most of the lines, Reina with a few key lines, Risa Koharu, Sayu and Eri getting a smattering here and there, and then Aika+Pandas getting unison or bg vocals. Same deal in Naichau Kamo, Pepper Keibu, Resonant Blue (albeit with more Koharu), etc. I love Ai and especially Reina, but it does get old having a big diverse group but no variation on leads in the songs. When will we have a Risa/Eri leading song? Or what about something where JunJun gets a few lines? She sounded great in Ame no blahblahblah Darou, so she can sing... Give her a chance! Give them all a chance to be more than bg vocalists and backup dancers. Ai needs a solo career at this point, she is monopolizing all the songs worse than Gocchin ever did (not that it is her fault that the lines are distributed that way, but come on).

Back to the PV.



Anyway, I like Linlin's change up in hair, she looks nice. Reina is a goddess with her hair down and I wish they would let her do that more. Or dye it black again... Not too big on Risa's right now, it's making her face look chubby. And for Junjun, I agree with the above post, please don't dress her like you do Maasa. She's gorgeous, so dress her gorgeous. Also liking Sayumi's hair down and liking that her voice has gotten so much more tolerable recently.



Overall the PV is better than recent PVs but not outstanding like Buono's. It'll do.

I just watched the Dohhh UP version after watching the crappy blurry version a few days ago, and I thought it was a completely different PV that was put together until I played both of them side by side. It's really amazing what a difference better focus, color, and quality made in my perception of the PV. I like it a lot now. The dance seemed, better, too.

If this physical thing works out, great, but if it ends up using the credits system unevenly (probably will) and doesn't offer older CDs (definitely probably not, but not entirely viable...), I'm writing them off.

Perhaps, but if you go on the website and check the price, it's so much lower than buying on yesasia. Didn't check the shipping however...
