That splash one was okay THIS one should win though. He completely avoids the dance shot/closeup formula. Plus the panning shots of the room are freaking amazing. This one makes me laugh at UFA's efforts to make PV's. One guy outdid most of their efforts to make creative PVs

As mentioned, this is a great idea, long overdue.



Then again, the songs were chosen well in advance, the footage shot beforehand, and the entire project simply launched to boost interest in specific artists - while most of the kids were on vacation and able to spend extra time behind their computers. In short - a promo device, unlikely to overshadow official product.



I and other fans could no doubt produce superior PVs than the ones we've seen. Unfortunately, it's their job to do it, since they're getting paid for the effort, not us.

Yeah, it's technically their job, but they did their job. You know, that whole "official PV" they released? They also gave the fans original, source material which is more than can be said for other OPVs. And, they're offering a money prize for the winner; everyone who entered got the chance to be paid.

I think, judging by the comments (though, can I get a witness?), this one was announced as being the official winner at the con. Totally deserved it, too - that was some pretty epic editing.
