Seriously though, it's a shame. From what most people are reporting, tabloids were preparing to run a newly-obtained set of pictures of her with her boyfriend before she went on bunion leave. I guess that's the price you pay for dating when your contract says "Hey, no. Just don't.", I suppose.

Note that it's cool to do your own speculation about what really happened ("bun"ion in the oven? hurrhurr.) but these "reports" of there being new pictures of her are even less substantiated than the lowest gossip rags. They're from an unnamed "source" who H!O really really swears isn't 2ch guys really! But they will never ever reveal their source so omg give them the benefit of the doubt.

I never particularly liked Kanna's voice, but she really did have this presence in C-ute that kind of says to me something like "Hi, I'm Kanna. I was a H!P Egg and worked my ass off to be in C-ute." Although when I listen to songs like Bye Bye Bye! and their recent single, I won't be able to tell that Kanna left the group which is why not much will change in their music (aside from PV's and all that), but I will miss her.

That's too bad. I've always been indifferent to her, but it is a little sad to see groups like C-ute or Berryz that were sticking to a consistent set of members go through a member loss. It seemed like in more recent singles members other than Maimi and Airi were starting to get a little more spotlight, so it's too bad she might have missed her chance to shine more.



From the vague message on the H!P site, it sounds like she just wanted to go back to having a normal life. Maybe her time off for the bunion leave (whether it was actually a bunion or not) reminded her of what she was missing out on. I kind of doubt they would force any Berryz or C-ute members out over boyfriend pictures (unless they were half naked or something) at this point. It seems like H!P didn't even react to the recent ones supposedly of Miyabi, or the Kanna/Some Johnny's Jr. (was it Kanna?) ones that came out. But who knows, maybe she just decided she wanted to spend more time wit her boyfriend or her school friends. You can't reall blame her.

So sad! Jesus, is C-ute cursed? They have had TWO members get axed, either for the same reason (scandal) or another. I think they'll probably just keep it at six members.

It was Megumi Murakami, who was one of the lead singers of the H!P Kids. That was a pretty big loss and it was weird considering the "scandal" photos weren't a big deal. Anyhow, I also think these situations are too often construed as "OMG FIRED" when perhaps these girls decide that they want to have a more normal life. Maybe they are given ultimatums (ie dump the bf or we fire you) and they choose to quit.

There were also pictures of Kanna with some guy from JE (that were ignored), Megumi's boyfriend was just a random kid. I honestly think in Megu's case it's a lot more likely that she got freaked out about people stalking her and taking photos of her with her boyfriend when she was only 14. (Much like the egg that quit after being followed by wota after a job once.)

Well, another reason why C-ute is just going to become just a group to me. She was actually one of my 2 favorites in that group(Airi is ok but I can't stand seeing her all the time)kanna and Saki are the only ones I like. I only like 3 out 9 of their singles and 2 out of 4 indie singles, so it's not a big loss I just started liking them in "Bye Bye Bye" and that single really seems wrong after what we just heard. But I hope it's not because of the scandal if it is UFA is such a piss off, and such a horrible way to kick a girl out. It's always the same thing, "We are very sorry to bring such unexpected news, but we hope you will keep supporting (name of group) in the future.". But still I wish her life as a normal girl is good and I wish her luck in the future.

Yeah, that was the incident I was thinking of - I had totally forgotten about Megumi <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... hahaha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> Even though I never liked her voice and wasn't too sad to see her out of C-ute, I felt bad that she was (seemingly) so freaked out by the incident. It's kind of surprising there haven't been more girls that have felt the same way (to the point of wanting to quit, that is).

Aww, I'm sad she's leaving. From the cover of the H!P marriage song cover album you could already guess she wasn't coming back. A shame, though. Musically it won't make much of a difference, but I liked her personality and the chemistry she had with the other members.
