Wow, I was just thinking about how that cover is amazing up close because of the little details.
I'm glad you found a large image of it.
Well, I won't repeat that one but...
I actually own all of these. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ohyeah.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Kawaii Kare: This was brilliant. I love how they carried the train design to the edge like MKB is trapped in the CD, behind the glass. (on a train to less and less singles a year <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ryalot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> oh 2003)
Ai no Sono ~Touch My Heart~: MM girls modeling street fashion and holding shopping bags. Plus the cool vertical cover format.
X3 & Koi no Telephone GOAL, First press DONE RIGHT.
I loved the Koi no Telephone GOAL FP cover.
In a weird way, it's composed like the Aya cover, Nacchi's arm mirrors the wave and the dart board mirrors the sun beams. Not to mention a very similar color scheme.
This is why I say FP done right, because the alternative was
This cover was just unfortunate. Why such an AWKWARD angle? The single V and photo cards looked fine.
X3: It has a Hokusai print on it, enough said.
Oh, that reminds me, giant blue boob cover that was inside the 1st press sleeve but also the regular edition image.
(it made more sense up close, but we had a good laugh at the preview images)
oh and honorary mention goes to Shouganai Yume Oibito Ladder cover.

Re: Favourite Album Art
I like the old school Summer Night Town cover for the layout and use of space. It doesn't work as nicely in the newer format so I hunted down the old version. I like girl pile shots. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... iggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
The no.5 album, wasn't my favorite, but I think it had one of the cooler covers next to 4th Ikimasshoi!
Mikan's LimitedA version was one of the better MM single covers that I liked. To bad the single bombed. D:
I like this Shabondama cover because of the way it was done and how they broke the group up into generations. They didn't do that very often on the covers. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Was this the limited version? I forget.
I also Berryz 2nd album cover.
Maki's Best of Album cover, because I thought it was an ingenous way of having a best of cover with her holding her first single.
And Miki's first single, because her and the umbrella is just really put together well. I like the blues and the pinks and the little shot of green in the corner.

This is a place where a signature goes. Enjoy some Airi instead.
Re: Favourite Album Art
I loved the small mini CD single CDs and their jackets!! How many of us are old enough (and were into JPOP at the time) to have those in our collection? I have about 30 of them all together!

I have all of the MM mini singles and a few Judy And Mary mini's.
Totally concur on the I Wish cover. Here are two more I really like
I'm a sucker for retro cover art, and especially 60s retro.

Now that you mention the group arrangement on the cover, the c/w [Namida ni wa Shitakunai] features the girls singing in generation order, so they were actually thinking. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... umbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
2003 was so good. 15 photocards, yes please. When are we going to get another ridiculous "Go Girl M clip" style gimmick?
Mikan cover: What the heck, is that a SOCK PUPPET on Risa's hand? <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /lmfao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lmfao:' />
Oh and the All for One and One for All regular edition cover. How could I forget...

Re: Favourite Album Art
Y'all took alot of my answers... here's a few I noticed were missing though
I Love the sense of camaraderie I get from thispicture... Along with the just uninhibited happiness and excitement at finally making it and selling 50,000 (?) copies and get to record a second single.
There's a reason they picked this for the cover of the 10th Anniversary Singles Collection. It's Legendary. Not only is it the first single they did with Maki, but the cover even had a rumor behind it of who was going to leave and what order.
Golddigger-Disco Big Bird FTW! (To be remade later on as "Onna Ni Sachi Are")
Morning Musume getting all absinthe-y green-fairy like.
Morning Musume playing 52 card (10 girl) pick up.
