So they made this group from a 4 member group to a 3 member group, leaving Saho the only girl from the original line-up. The other original three were replaced with fellow H!P Eggs Fukumura Mizuki and Maeda Irori. I never follow the H!P Eggs unless they debut in groups, so I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but at least Saho is still in there.

Super excited about Irorin though, she's awesome! The other two are okay as well.

Irori is great, I'm glad to see her being put into a group. Akari is ok, but that's about it... I am entirely unfamiliar with Mizuki.



The subtraction of Wada and addition of Irori are good... But enough to balance losing Kanon and Yuuka? Not sure there. Although, at least we have S/mileage with them in it, if they would just release more material (now, dammit).



Also, I thought Shugo Chara was ending? Did they extend it for yet another season??

Yes, Shugo Chara is getting a third season titled "Shugo Chara! Party".

I will be accused of laziness...but...can someone link me to a photodatabase of the Eggs? There are so many that I can't keep track of whose going in or out.

So, for Shugo Chara, we've have:

-Buono

-Shugo Chara Egg!

-Guardians4

-Shin Shugo Chara Egg!

I guess these anime-related groups are more like eternal shuffle groups (save Buono). There were all sorts of one-time or two-time collaborations for the anime songs and none really stick around for very long. If you look at it that way, there is no suggestion of dramaz from the management.



Kanon and Maeda Yuuki are getting pretty popular on their own so maybe they don't need this. I've never really heard about the others though.



How does everyone know who/what/how about the Eggs? I feel like they aren't really in anything!

They replaced the other 3 for obvious reasons (they were put in s/mileage). Irorin has deserved more spotlight time for a while now. I'm glad she's getting it. Mizuki only joined HPE last year. That's pretty remarkable that they already put her in a group.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that old Egg. The weirdest part is that she joined only months ago (along with a 11 year old <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... >/rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whip:' /> ). She's older than half the Elders who graduated this year; they must have some special plan for her or something. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... unsure.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> I'm gonna have to follow her since she is slightly older than I am, and I love not feeling like a pervert. So far her skill seems to be looking blankly at a camera in a slightly creepy manner with her ultra-pale face. I love it.

I was just wanting to post that they should make use of the older eggs already. Kikkawa Yuu anybody? Aoki Erina seems cute to me too and she's getting past her prime. I don't think I've ever heard her sing, so I'll just say she looks cute. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... ek3run.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> But I think it's a shame in itself already that I haven't heard her sing yet.

There's some really good girls vocally among the eggs... Or decently good. I don't understand why girls like Maeda Yuuka get marketed so much. Her voice always sounds so soft and not that great to me. I mean Sengoku Minami was the big one before, but she seemed to fade into obscurity ever since Ongaku Gatas kinda disappeared...



Furukawa Konatsu was someone I always liked. She has a decent voice and personality, but she hasn't been in any groups besides Tomoiki (which technically doesn't count, imo). Sekine Azusa hasn't been in one group, but anyone see this video of Romantic Ukare Mode of her with Kikka?



Out of the "5th generation" of HPE, three of the four girls have debuted or will soon do so. Karin and Takeuchi are both in Shin Minimoni and now Mizuki is in the new SCE. It almost seems unfair to some of the older girls who have been there a while...



And Aoki Erina doesn't seem to participate a lot in concerts. She's one of the members to have missed the most, I think. Maybe she just isn't that interested in debuting? I think Tanaka Anri will be the new leader of the HPE...

I'm not sure. It seems like Eggs really run off of heavy promotion, because they are so unknown to the public and only participate in larger H!P events in a smaller role (like background dancers or futsbol). Sometimes I think that Yuuka carries on just because she already made some small ground.



The other thing is, they probably have to consider which of the girls can promise a certain commitment. Most of the girls are pretty young and Eggs almost seems like an after school activity instead of a heavy career training school. Not to mention, the girls are probably considered on maturity and other abilities the fans might not see -- like handling stress well, following instructions well, memorizing lines and dance moves easily, etc. I remind myself of this everytime I think about Koharu and how, despite her problems with singing, landed some of the more lucrative H!P starring roles in recent years.

It's being transformed into a Anime/Live-Action program. [Full Info]

An early copy of the October issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine has revealed that the new Shugo Chara Party! television program will have anime and live-action segments.



The main segment of the new program will be the Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki anime, which the magazine describes as a power-up of the ongoing Shugo Chara!! Doki.



The new program will also include Shugo Chara Pucchi Puchi! anime shorts. Super-deformed versions of the characters Ran, Miki, and Su will star in these shorts. (You mean they aren't super deformed enough?)



In addition to the anime, Shugo Chara Party! will have regular appearances by the Shugo Chara Egg! female idol group as program hosts. However, the group will have a new lineup: Mizuki Fukumura as Amulet Heart, Akari Saho as Amulet Spade, and Irori Maeda as Amulet Clover. An open audition will be held for the fourth member, Amulet Diamond. The winner of the audition, which is open to unsigned girls in elementary and junior high schools, will perform as part of the group and appear on the Shugo Chara Party! program. The group will sing the theme song of Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki as well.

No word on Buono or Guardian4. I don't care about Guardain4 as much as I do Buono. I hope they continue to do the endinigs.

Huh...I guess that means the girls in cosplay will be "hosting" the cartoon? Like, they'll introduce the show instead of having a preview and then at the commercial break, they might pop back in and give commentaries or whatever. I've seen some of the full cast cosplay pics on H!O's picboard and they look really cute.



It seems weird to transition from cartoon to live action though. It is one thing to do that with a 10 year break (like Sailor Moon) or have the tie in from the beginning (Koharu voicing Kirarin), but to do this now feels odd. Kids get acclimated to their own vision of the cartoon character and part of the appeal lies in animations' universality, you know?
