I think she's only manly in the sense that Heechul is manly XD I think people are just used to seeing guys that look like girls in asian pop, so girls that look like girls start to look. Like. Guys that look like girls. Freaking androgyny~

Lachata kind of grew on me but I don't think it sticks as well as what some of the other girl groups have been putting out recently.

No, she's pretty Korean Pop Dudely. I mean, it's been well established that that isn't saying much as far as looking dudely and all, but her features... she has strong, broad bone structure. Her jaw could slice a man wide open. That's all I can think to say. But I'm sure if they gave her SNSD hair and a pretty dress she could look chickly, too.

The song honestly did nothing for me. I didn't like how dark the dance shot bits were. Maybe it will grow on me like a fungus, much like every other K-pop thing I've ever loved.

Can I say dudely again? Teehee. Dudely.

I think she can look pretty, and in the dance intro thing they at least dress her in female clothes, but during the song, they always put her in straight up dude clothes. I'm pretty sure they'll pretty her up down the line and make her look female.

Personally, I find Victoria the most outright gorgeous - her face is lovely, and her body... wow. An asian girl with tits! [strike]That isn't Yui or a porn star![/strike] All of my friends are going gay for Amber, and... eh. I prefer my men to be... actually men, not reverse traps.

Side note: anyone else into Kara? They've probably been posted here already, but I think their music and vocal style is the most similar to Hello!Project's...

In chronological order:

Rock U

Pretty Girl

Honey

Wanna

Mister

Personally, I like them best in... reverse chronological order. But only because Mister has some booty shakin', lol.

Man, I hadn't seen them perform Mister before. That dance is my new favorite thing, ever. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /weeeh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

And yes, they've been mentioned before: http://mm-bbs.org/index.php?s=&showtop...ost&p=62524

Also, you missed out on their first two singles:

Break It

If U Wanna

Which are both really, really fantastic songs.

Has no really mentioned Abracabra by Brown Eyed Girls yet? All of the Koreans at my school keep singing it. XD

Speaking of girl groups, I find it absolutely fascinating that Dara of 2NE1 was raised in the Philippines and speaks Tagalog fluently, just because it's a language (although it has 70M+ speakers) that's rarely learned or spoken by "outsiders" mostly because English is taught as a second lanugage and you can more-or-less get by using just that.

I can't just seem to get that much into KARA, but I already love 2NE1, and I just started to listen to BEG's Abrecadabra and I LOVE IT. As I put on my facebook: "I don't know what it is about Korean music, but it has some sort of "secret ingredient" that makes their songs suuuuuuuuuuuuper catchy." <insert BEG's Abracadabra music video (the dance one, because people on facebook may have a WTF moment on the original lol)>

I'm not much for KARA's earlier stuff, but I like their latest album.

Their performances of Mister got me hooked with their booty-shaking dance and I love Nicole http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVvVR4BcfsM <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /drool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

You think people would have had a WTF moment at the original MV? I was about three seconds from posting this parody MV of Abracadabra on my Facebook... at the last moment, I thought better of it. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... popper.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dammit:' />

Jo Kwon (the... really gay one in the pink) of 2AM is amazing. And his voice is divine, too... <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... #>/wub.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> I want him to be my gay BFF.

I think how obviously sexual it is may not make it optimum facebook posting material.

I don't know about Joel, but my whole family's basically on there, along with every coworker. But kitchen folk are perverts, anyway, they'd hardly care. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... /laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':pouty:' />

Lol yes my whole family are on facebook, but usually I only post music videos so that I can hopefully have someone press play out of curiosity and might fall in love with the song... Only one could wish.

Anyways, thanks to MonkeyPretzels informing me of SHNee's new single, they have a new awesome song call Ring Ding Dong. Very very catchy, but they look RETARDED in the music video, but the dance is still as cool as ever.

Look it's a big hit, Koreans love their retarded songs/styles!

Speaking of which did any of you check out SNSD and f(x)'s singles Chocolate Love? They both did the same song in a different version, the SNSD one is a bit more cutesy ("white") and the f(x) one is pretty badass ("black"). Neither of them is perfect (i feel like the song would be so much better if it wasn't a shuffle), but it's worth listening to anyway, and the clips are pretty stylish and sexy.

The PV/MV for Park Bom's single has also been released. And OK, I must vent! Maybe it's just me and my "I've watched enough Asian dramas to understand this kind of story" ass, but I seriously don't get why some people don't understand what's going on in this video. 1) The beginning sequence was a dream. They never got married in real life, although they wanted to. 2) The guy has a terminal disease (all us drama fans know how this goes!) 3) By the end of the vid, yes, he is indeed DEAD! Again, maybe it's because I've seen this a million times I know what's going on, but I'm downright scared that kids (or adults) nowaday cannot interpret a non-linear story. This is probably why braindead movies that literally treat the audience like fucking idiots are so popular - the audience is actually unable to process a (slightly) complex narrative without being explicitly told what is or will happen.

I didn't get the plot at first, but it made more sense the more I watched it, and it's a very typical korean drama, but Bom looks so AWESOME in this and her voice is as good as her looks. I love Bom so much. =) Is this going to be a digital single like Dara's? I want to download it like now.

Wow, Bom looks great. She always looks kind of drugged or half asleep. I am liking the song, though it hasn't become an earworm yet.

Chocolate Love is really catchy, but SNSD's version sounds like music to accompany a morbidly obese circus clown meandering down some steps.

I actually clicked on the video before reading your post, watched it and after about 2 minutes I thought "WTF is going on !? I need to get back to the bbs after finishing it and ask if anybody could explain this thing to me".

I thought they did marry, then he had some kind of accident and he was just imagining things when he was apparently walking around and at the end... he died, they parted or something like that.

btw, I don't watch any asian rl series, as every single one most have horrible crappy acting.

EDIT:

Also, the new SNSD is shit.

Not even the video is appealing. =/ And it's goddamn SNSD !

So Monkeypretzels told me about this song that's not new-new, but It's not mentioned here. It's Super Junior-M's Super Girl. Yeah, it's a chinese group, but I'll just post the Korean version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvHDn31PpiQ VERY ADDICTING. The dance is really awesome too, and it has Jessica from SNSD!

YES OMG, I FUCKING LOVE SUPER JUNIOR M. The "oh-oh-oh-oh-oh my love my love my love" part is my ringtone right now.

It's strange, having Super Junior turning out all these dance hits (Sorry Sorry, It's You, now Super Girl) but I guess someone has to fill out the awesome song quota while DBSK is off having a legal brawl to the death with their company...

OH. B2ST! It's another new boy group, which I would normally not care about, but their song is catchy as hell. Poppy as hell, with a kind of a electro-disco thing going on? I'm not sure how to categorize it, but this song is my new jam, basically. B2ST - Bad Girl There's also MBLAQ, who is being produced by Bi/Rain, but I don't like their song as much, sooooo. <img src='http://mm-bbs.org/public/style_emoticon ... stling.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
